Here we go with the New Orleans Saints.

New Orleans Saints Preseason Schedule

Aug. 12-16 at New England
Aug. 19-23 Houston
Aug. 27 San Diego
Sept. 2-3 at Tennessee

2010 Regular Season Opponents

Thurs, Sept. 9 MINNESOTA – A marquee Thursday-night game to open the season, featuring probably the two best teams in the conference.

Mon, Sept. 20 @ San Francisco – If the Saints D is ready to keep a lid on RB Frank Gore and WR Michael Crabtree, N’awlins should take a win home from California.

Sun, Sept. 26 ATLANTA – The Falcons are starting to get their act together; they should absolutely be on the Saints radar in this crucial early-season divisional clash.

Sun, Oct. 3 CAROLINA – Back-to-back divisional home games bodes well for the reigning champs. How will the Panthers’ young stable of pivots handle the hostile territory of the Superdome?

Sun, Oct. 10 @ Arizona – New Orleans’ current offense is kind of what the Cards’ attack used to be a couple of seasons ago.

Sun, Oct. 17 @ Tampa Bay – If the Saints stay focused, they should run Tampa Bay. Bigger Goliaths have slipped trying to stomp smaller Davids in the past, however.

My Sportsbook

Sun, Oct. 24 CLEVELAND – Is this a bye week? Is it basically?

Sun, Oct. 31 PITTSBURGH – In the past few seasons it’s almost seemed like no matter who is under center, the Steelers always present a formidable test.

Sun, Nov. 7 @ Carolina – The Saints are a better team than the Panthers, but they’ll still need their horses bucked up to stop the run in Charlotte.

Sun, Nov. 14 BYE

Sun, Nov. 21 SEATTLE – New Orleans has plenty of time to game-plan for a re-tooling Seahawks squad, and not having to catch a red-eye flight to the Pacific coast is always a bonus.

Thurs, Nov. 25 @ Dallas – Along with the first game of the season, this is the premier showdown of 2010. The Saints should score on Dallas, but how will the defense handle a multi-faceted Cowboys attack?

Sun, Dec. 5 @ Cincinnati – The Bengals can do most of what the Saints can do, given their personnel, they just don’t quite do it as good. QB Carson Palmer isn’t the prolific beast he was a few years ago.

Sun, Dec. 12 ST. LOUIS – Dear Sam Bradford: Please bring your notepad and pens if you’d like a quarterbacking clinic from (along with Indy’s Peyton Manning) the best pivot in football.

Sun, Dec. 19 @ Baltimore – A tough road test which is a nice dry run for the rapidly approaching post-season.

Mon, Dec. 27 @ Atlanta – Certainly a captivating Monday night game. The Saints secondary was adept at turnovers last year; if they gamble too much in this one they’ll be seeing the back of Roddy White’s jersey more than once.

Sun, Jan. 2 TAMPA BAY – Quite possibly a great chance to rest your starters.
