Sun, Sept. 12 @ Jacksonville – Jags QB David Garrard will have Denver headhunter Elvis Dumervil hot on his trail early and often.

Sun, Sept. 19 SEATTLE – Denver could win this one convincingly and in doing so, show the division that they are the best match to un-seat the Chargers for supremacy.

Sun, Sept. 26 INDIANAPOLIS – Two teams with some post-season animosity meet in Week 3; Peyton Manning’s fastball whizzes just as well in the thin air as it does indoors.

Sun, Oct. 3 @ Tennessee – The more undersized members of Denver’s defensive front seven must be wary of the Titans’ nasty offensive line.

Sun, Oct. 10 @ Baltimore – If there’s someone that can carve up Denver’s stout D, perhaps it’s RB Ray Rice of the Ravens.

Sun, Oct. 17 NEW YORK JETS – The Jets have an excellent young nucleus and they’ll be really tough to beat, even in the friendly confines of home.

Sun, Oct. 24 OAKLAND – If Raiders QB Jason Campbell plays anything like he did last year on Washington, the Broncs won’t have any trouble dispatching this division rival.

Sun, Oct. 31 @ San Francisco – A lot of the Niners’ potency will stem from the effectiveness of maligned pivot Alex Smith.

Sun, Nov. 7 BYE

Sun, Nov. 14 KANSAS CITY – It’s a good thing Denver has a nice stable of defensive backs to cover wideouts Dwayne Bowe and Chris Chambers.

Mon, Nov. 22 @ San Diego – The aforementioned DBs have the wheels to keep up with San Diego receivers, but there will be size mis-matches galore. Can the Bolts translate that to red-zone opportunities?

Sun, Nov. 28 ST. LOUIS – I think I’d like Kyle Orton or Brady Quinn or Tim Tebow under center so long as every game could be against the Rams.

Sun, Dec. 5 @ Kansas City – The Broncos aren’t very well received in Kansas City by Chiefs fans. Period.

Sun, Dec. 12 @ Arizona – Larry Fitzgerald vs. Champ Bailey is just a top-notch showdown. It’s what modern football needs to be about.

Sun, Dec. 19 @ Oakland – Contain WR Louis Murphy, don’t throw Nnamdi Asomugha’s way, and Robert’s your father’s brother, Denver.

Sun, Dec.26 HOUSTON – WR Andre Johnson and TE Owen Daniels might be the best receiver/tight end combo in the AFC South. Sorry, Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark.

Sun, Jan. 2 SAN DIEGO – This needs to be the game of Denver’s season, both symbolically and performance-wise.
