Super Bowl MVP Betting

With a few days left before the NFL Conference Championships, sports betting fans have a chance to get some money down on a few long shots for the Super Bowl MVP.

The reason to bet long shots right now is because both the conference championship games figure to be very tough contests. The Baltimore Ravens are definitely good enough to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals are good enough to take down the Philadelphia Eagles.

But that in itself doesn’t give BetUS online sportsbook NFL betting fans reason to bet on long shots for the Super Bowl MVP. Football betting fans need to establish a couple of rules before making Super Bowl MVP wagers.

First, they have to decide which teams do indeed have the best chance of winning the Super Bowl. I’ve already made the decision that it doesn’t matter who wins the NFC Conference Championship. Neither the Eagles nor the Cardinals have much chance against the Steelers or the Ravens in the Super Bowl.

So, my list will concentrate on players from Pittsburgh and Baltimore. A second rule is that you have to make a calculated decision on which team, after you’ve narrowed it down to two, is going to actually win the Super Bowl. In other words, which team in this case wins the AFC Conference Championship?

I’ve decided that the team is the Baltimore Ravens. So my list will be top heavy with Ravens then flow down to Steelers players. I’ve also narrowed the list down to six players. To me discipline as an online wagering fan is just as important as knowledge.

Let’s get to it!

Best Online Betting Options to Win the Super Bowl MVP

1. Joe Flacco, +850 online betting odds – – Flacco is a rookie but he’s also the quarterback of the team I believe wins the Super Bowl this season. That would be something, wouldn’t it? Often times American sportswriters vote for the quarterback on the winning team. Flacco is the best choice in the BetUS online sportsbook to take home the trophy.

2. Le’Ron McClain, +2800 online betting odds – – Are you serious? To me, McClain is an obvious pick because he has the “juice” so to speak to get the job done. Remember old man Otis Anderson in 1990? That’s Le’Ron McClain this season. The burly Ravens’ running back could make some football betting fans seriously happy.

3. Ed Reed, +2000 online betting odds – – I like Reed more than Ray Lewis to win the MVP because the Baltimore free safety should be involved in more plays. Both the Eagles and Cardinals are pass happy teams which means Reed is going to be the Ravens’ best defensive weapon out there.

4. “Big” Ben Roethlisberger, +275 online betting odds – – Big Ben was my pick for NFL MVP because he is worth so much to his team. If the Steelers’ beat the Ravens and make it to the Super Bowl, then this guy is the best option even though the online odds are freaking low.

5. Willie Parker, +950 online betting odds – – Parker should get plenty of attention from both the Eagles and Cardinals but it might not matter. Neither the Eagles nor the Cardinals are exceptional against the run. To me, this is a very good online bet to make if you believe the Steelers make it to the Super Bowl.

6. Hines Ward, +1400 online betting odds – – The Steelers top wide receiver is as consistent as they get. If the Steelers end up in the Super Bowl expect the Steelers’ offensive gurus to create many plays for Ward. He should have is way out there against either the Eagles’ or the Cardinals’ secondary.

Good Luck!
