I understand that the final rankings carry some importance as they have a big impact on the pre-season rankings for next year. I always wondered how much consideration is given to anyone out of the top ten for 2008 on how they are ranked for 2009. I know there are other factors involved, especially returning underclassmen, but how much does last season’s performance move you up or down in next year’s pre-season poll?
