For my Week 2 free NCAA Football parlay this week I’ve circled out two big favorites that should have no problem dominating.

I’m on the Kentucky Wildcats –9.5 over Ohio and the Oklahoma Sooners –23.5 over Tulsa.

Game 1 – Ohio Bobcats vs. Kentucky Wildcats

NCAA Football Point Spread: Kentucky –9.5 (-110)
NCAA Football Over/Under: OTB
Week 2 Stats & Trends

Kentucky opened up at –7 points, but has quickly jumped up to over –10 at certain shops already, so get on this game early if you like it. The Wildcats host the Ohio Bobcats in an SEC vs. MAC match-up.

Last week the Wildcats beat Tennessee Martin (59-14) and they had a 52-0 lead after 3Q. Patrick Towles (20/29 for 377 Yards & 1 TD) looked good, but the Wildcats RB’s stole the show in week 1.

Braylon Heard rushed for 116 yards and 2 TD’s on just 2 carries. As a team Kentucky rushed for 234 yards on 28 carries (8.4 YPC). The Bobcats escaped with a road win in week 1 over Kent State (17-14).

Derrius Vick (18/24 for 262 Yards & 2 TD’s) played well, but the Bobcats will pound the rock a lot early on while the new starters on offense adjust. They ran the football 44 times for 175 yards last week.

Ohio gained 4.0 YPC, but they couldn’t pop it into the endzone on the ground. Going up against an SEC defense will prove too much for Ohio. Kentucky will have no problem running or passing in this one.

A lot of you will remember that the Bobcats offense was strong last season, but they only have 4 starters back and it’s going to take time to gel. If the Wildcats stop the Bobcats run game it’ll be over quickly.

The Wildcats are still a fairly weak team, but they have always done well against MAC opponents and in most cases have dominated on the scoreboard.

NCAA Free Pick: Kentucky moves to 2-0 with another easy win.

Game 2 – #3 Oklahoma Sooners vs. Tulsa Golden Hurricane

NCAA Football Point Spread: Oklahoma –23.5 (-110)
NCAA Football Over/Under: OTB
Week 2 Stats & Trends

Oklahoma opened up the year with a dominating win over Louisiana Tech (48-16). The score was 41-3 at the end of the 3Q before the Sooners shut it down. This week they’re on the road against Tulsa.

The Golden Hurricanes beat Tulane (38-31) in double OT, but it wasn’t an impressive performance. Tulane was up 21-7 at one point in the 2Q, but they only scored one TD in the 2H and it cost them the game.

Keevan Lucas caught 13 passes for 233 yards and 3 TD’s in the game. The run game averaged 4.3 YPC, but the Sooners will be much tougher to run against. Oklahoma just has shutdown Lucas in this game.

If Oklahoma can keep Lucas from making big plays they’ll easily dominate again this week. Tulsa allowed Tulane to rush for 254 yards on 30 carries (8.5 YPC), so expect Oklahoma to pound the rock.

[dfads params=’groups=63739&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

Trevor Knight (19/34 for 253 Yards, 1 TD & 1 INT) has to improve his accuracy, but he should be able to do that against a weak Tulsa secondary. My only concern is that this is the Sooners first road game.

You always have to be careful with big point spreads, but before conference schedules start we’ll see a lot of double-digit favorites. Knight will throw for 300+ yards in this one and the Sooners roll.

This spread is low enough that even if the Sooners sit players in the 4Q again it shouldn’t allow Tulsa to score a couple TD’s and cover.

NCAA Free Pick: Out of the big favorites on the board this week I like OU the best.
