The South Florida Bulls take on the Cincinnati Bearcats this Friday night at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, OH. in a Big East battle of 3-3 teams. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN 2.

South Florida is coming off a 20-6 loss to No. 20 West Virginia last Thursday night, failing to cover as a 10-point road underdog. The total stayed well ‘under’ the 46 point line. For the second week in row, the Bulls offense was held to single-digits and the team has not scored more than 14 points in any of its three losses this season.

The Mountaineers held the Bulls to just 202 yards of total offense; 137 yards in the air and 65 yards on the ground. South Florida QB B.J. Daniels completed 20-of-30 attempts, but he averaged just four yards per reception. The previous week, in a 13-9 loss to Syracuse, the Bulls only managed 219 yards of total offense. They are currently ranked 59th in the nation in average rushing yards per game and 107th in average passing yards per game. The only saving grace for this team to this point is a defense that is ranked 18th in the country in average points allowed. NFL Betting

Cincinnati continued to recover from a 1-3 start with a 35-27 win over an improved Louisville team last Saturday. The Bearcats covered as a 2 ½ point road favorite and the total went ‘over’ the 55 ½ point line. They have now won two in a row to even their record at 3-3.

Bearcat QB Zach Collaros erupted for five TD passes against the Cardinals and finished the day completing 18-of-28 attempts for 275 yards. Trailing by three points late in the third, Collaros tossed a 14 yard scoring strike to WR D.J. Woods to give Cincinnati the lead for good. Armon Binns led the team in receiving with eight catches for 175 yards and three TD”s. He also leads the team in receptions for the season with 32. RB Isaiah Pead is the team’s leading rusher with 547 yards on 62 carries.

South Florida is 5-5 straight-up in its last 10 games and 4-6 against the spread. The Bulls are 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS in their last three road games. The total has stayed ‘under’  five of their last seven games.

Cincinnati is 6-4 SU and 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games overall. The Bearcats are 4-1 SU in their last five home games and 2-3 ATS. The total has gone ‘over’ in six of their last nine games overall.

Head-to-head, Cincinnati has won four out of the last five games SU and is 5-0 ATS. The total has stayed ‘under’ in three of those five games. The Bulls defense should be able to keep this game fairly close, but their inability to put points on the board will once again be their downfall.

Betting Trends:

South Florida is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games
South Florida is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of South Florida’s last 5 games
The total has gone OVER in 4 of South Florida’s last 6 games on the road
Cincinnati is 8-1 SU in its last 9 games at home
Cincinnati is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games when playing South Florida
Cincinnati is 20-5 SU in its last 25 games

The Pick: Cincinnati – 8 ½.
