Oklahoma State

The Cowboys (5-1) have reeled off five straight wins since losing in Week 1, and will look to remain undefeated in conference play after downing the Kansas Jayhawks last weekend.

Led by quarterback Daxx Garman who is completing 57.9 percent of his passes with 10 touchdowns, the Pokes’ have been able to string together 13 wins in their last 14 games, scoring 25 or more points.

Garman has struggled at times however, tossing five interceptions in his last three games. But that hasn’t hurt OSU much, as they have just turned to running back Desmond Roland more.

Roland has stepped up to the challenge, scoring in every game he’s played. He leads the Cowboys’ rushing attack with 391 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma State defense has done a nice job of allowing just 24.7 points, and 377.2 yards per game. As a unit they have forced seven turnovers and collected 18 sacks.

TCU

The Horned Frogs’ (4-1) perfect unbeaten record came to an end last week, after losing 61-58 to the Baylor Bears.

TCU has topped 450 total yards in four of its five games, but blew a comfortable fourth quarter lead allowing the Bears to score 24 unanswered points.

Offensively, TCU is led by quarterback Trevone Boykin who is completing 57.7 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns to six different players with double-digit receptions.

Boykin is also the Horned Frogs leading rusher with 305 yards and three touchdowns.

B.J. Catalon has chipped in with 268 rushing yards on 59 carries and has scored at least one touchdown in every game this season.

On the defensive side of the football, the Horned Frogs are allowing 23 points, 379.8 yards, and have forced 15 turnovers while collecting 19 sacks.

Week 8 NCAA Football Spread Prediction

The Cowboys have looked vulnerable at times this season, like last weekend against KU.

Meanwhile, TCU has looked like one of the better teams in the country, and I am sure they will be bent on getting back on the rails after last week’s Baylor debacle.

I like the Horned Frogs here.
