There were plenty of upsets on Saturday, while a number of other top teams were able to escape rough situations to avoid losses.

As always stay tuned to Cappers Picks blog all NCAA Football betting season long. Tons of free picks and analysis posted daily.

1. Florida State Seminoles (10-0, previous: 2)

The Seminoles made a second-half comeback for the fifth time in 10 games to down the rival Miami Hurricanes on the road on Saturday. Next up is one of the teams that game Florida State a rare test a year ago in Boston College.

2. Alabama Crimson Tide (9-1, previous: 4)

Alabama played in the weekend’s marquee matchup and came up big with a win over previously undefeated Mississippi State. That was good enough to help the Crimson Tide leapfrog Oregon to the No. 2 spot in this week’s rankings. The Tide get Western Carolina this weekend in a lead-in to the Iron Bowl against Auburn.

3. Oregon Ducks (9-1, previous: 3)

The Ducks were off last weekend, which gave their big win over Utah some time to simmer. Quarterback Marcus Mariota still looks like the runaway Heisman winner. Next up is a game against Colorado before a regular-season ending trip to Oregon State to take on the instate rival Beavers.

4. Mississippi State Bulldogs (9-1, previous: 1)

The Bulldogs fell in their biggest game of the year yet in Tuscaloosa. They still have a good shot at qualifying for the playoff should they win out, and there’s a chance they can make the SEC title game if they can beat Ole Miss in Oxford and Alabama loses to Auburn.

5. TCU Horned Frogs (9-1, previous: 5)

The Horned Frogs had a bit of a misstep in Kansas over the weekend but were able to escape with a victory. Next up is their toughest remaining game which comes at Texas on a Thursday after the bye week.

6. Baylor Bears (8-1, previous: 6)

The Bears have been off since their convincing win at Oklahoma. Now’s the time for them to win impressively as they look to give the selection committee enough reason to slot them ahead of TCU.

7. Ohio State Buckeyes (9-1, previous: 8)

The Buckeyes got a good win at Minnesota this past week, but the time has come for them to start winning impressively if they hope to qualify for the inaugural Playoff. They’ll need to score some style points against Indiana.

8. Ole Miss Rebels (8-2, previous: 10)

Ole Miss beat up on Presbyterian this past weekend. There’s still not enough time for them to get back into the national top four. They’ll have a tough game this upcoming weekend against a sneaky tough Arkansas squad.

9. Georgia Bulldogs (8-2, previous: 16)

Georgia needed a big win over Auburn a week ago and they got it, which keeps the Bulldogs alive in the SEC East. They lost Todd Gurley along the way though. Next up is a home date against Charleston Southern which figures to be a pretty decisive blowout.

10. Michigan State Spartans (8-2, previous: 12)

The Spartans knocked off Maryland over the weekend to get back into the win column, but their loss to Ohio State means they’re pretty much just playing out the season. Next up is a home game against another Big Ten foe, Rutgers.
