They can make everyone forget about that game by pounding Troy…and they will.

This program is not as strong as it used to be.

Troy used to be the power program in the Sun Belt but those days seem like a distant memory.

They have yet to win a game this season and last week fell at home to FCS Abilene Christian. Not much was expected of them this season but that loss might be a new low for once proud program and its veteran coach.

This week at Georgia they will be looking to prove that they can play hard and compete. As the spread indicates it is unlikely that the Trojans can give the Dawgs a game.

It is going to be really hard for the Trojans to hang their hat on something for this game.

The stat that probably tells the story is that this team is 114th in rushing yards allowed and gave up a whopping 338 yards on the ground to UAB. I can only imagine how Todd Gurley and the Georgia offensive line are going to tear this team to shreds on the ground.

There is little for Trojans fans to look forward to.

The Dawgs fought hard but just couldn’t overcome their halftime deficit against South Carolina last week.

This was a road loss to a quality team early in the season so they have lots of time to rebound and they are fortunate to have this soft landing spot on their schedule instead of another lethal league game.

Troy will be like having a scrimmage, a chance to work on some stuff and get some reps in before hosting Tennessee. They could be looking ahead but it won’t matter.

Todd Gurley has been great so far but this would be a game to rack up some number to pad his final stats. Frosh Nick Chubb has been electric but he is banged up so there is a little extra opportunity before this gets out of hand.

The defense should also be able to use this one to tighten up some technique.

This one should be one where they can create some turnovers and get back to playing fast.

NCAA Football Handicapping Trends

  • Over is 4-0 in Trojans last 4 games on grass.
  • Trojans are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS loss.
  • Over is 13-1 in Trojans last 14 vs. SEC.
  • Over is 5-0 in Bulldogs last 5 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.
  • Over is 5-0 in Bulldogs last 5 vs. S-Belt.
  • Over is 5-1 in Bulldogs last 6 games on grass.

NCAA Football Week 4 Prediction:  4* Play On Georgia -41

This is a total mismatch.

NCAAF Score prediction:  Georgia 56 – Troy 6

The Dawgs should more than take care of business but it is hard to say there is much value when the number is this big.
