The Aggies are being served up to what will likely be an ornery Tigers team. At night, at Tiger Stadium the results are not likely to be pretty.

New Mexico State

The Aggies started the season 2-0, matching their win total from a year ago.

Despite their FBS status they were actually underdogs in the opener against Cal Poly but they won outright, as they did in another underdog role against Georgia State. Things got more back to normal with losses at UTEP and against state rival New Mexico.

All jokes aside this team is 3-1 ATS this season.

That always gets bettors attention. They are also 3-1 to the over.

Even though the Aggies have been making money for backers do not get sucked into them having any sort of a chance against LSU.

The Aggies will be lucky to win another game the rest of the way as they make their way through the Sun Belt. In league play they might be a live dog and a decent cover bet from time to time but don’t get caught up in them here.

They have not played a team of this calibre yet this season.

LSU

Many had LSU as a strong upset candidate last week…and it actually happened.

The Tigers lost to Mississippi State last week with the most surprising thing being that is wouldn’t even have been close had they not had a strong 4th quarter.

This is a young LSU team so even though there is a lot of talent on the team there are probably going to be more struggles than we are used to seeing from them.

Paging Leonard Fournette…the frosh phenom may be averaging 5 yards per carry but he has yet to really make the impact many were expecting.

He seems to have all the physical tools and this seems to be the exact right spot for an explosion. They are going to need some of that to cover a big spread like this one.

It is within this team for sure but they could also dominate and only win 38-0

NCAA Football Week #5 Prediction:  LSU -42

When the spreads get this big it is really hard to find any value on either side.

4* NCAAF Score prediction:  LSU 49 – New Mexico State 6

Maybe tease this one all the way to +49 but even then there are no guarantees.
