Kansas

You know you are having a bad season when the game everyone wants to talk about is a loss.

For Kansas that was when they very nearly shocked the world against TCU a couple of weeks ago.

The funny thing is with three wins already they have done better than I would have expected, just don’t expect that luck to continue this weekend.

This team is bad and against a disciplined group like K-State I cannot envision a scenario where they catch them off guard on the road.

Kansas State

I don’t know how the tiebreakers work but I see 3 teams with identical 6-1 records in the B12 right now.

The way things have broken as most 2 can finish that way because the Wildcats and Baylor play next week. Normally you would think that would make this one a trap game for the Wildcats but Kansas is not really much of a threat.

It would be such a shame if next week’s game didn’t really mean that much because they stumbled in this one. K-State is always well prepared so it is unlikely.

The Wildcats do everything pretty well and seldom beat themselves which is why they are pretty dangerous.

I was hoping for more of a breakout from Jake Waters this season but his numbers are good and he seems to “get it”.

If you are playing K-State you know you have to beware of the Locketts. Tyler is one of the leading receives in the game and has already passed 1000 yards on the season.

They can be tough to stop at times.

NCAAF Handicapping Trends:

  • Jayhawks are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.
  • Jayhawks are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game.
  • Jayhawks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
  • Wildcats are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games.
  • Wildcats are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
  • Wildcats are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
  • Jayhawks are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
  • Favorite is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.
  • Jayhawks are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 meetings in Kansas State.

NCAAF Prediction:  Kansas State -27.5

I never like chalky games like this. KSU should dominate and the under is kind of appealing.

NCAAF Score prediction:  Kansas State 42 – Kansas 10

Just don’t invest too much here.
