Central Florida

The Knights (1-2) have had two weeks to prepare for their trip to the Lone Star State, and will look to carry the momentum they gained by outgunning Bethune Cookman, 41-7 their last time out.

The celebration should be brief though, as the Wildcats actually led 7-3 before the UCF got things rolling with 351 offensive yards.

Quarterback Justin Holman supplied the aerial attack with plenty of firepower, ripping off a 35-yard and 61-yard touchdown pass to receivers J.J. Worton and Breshad Perriman, who demonstrated theri speed and acrobatics.

The ground game though was equally responsible for the romp, as running back William Stanbeck racked up 104 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Defensively, the Cougars held the Wildcats to only 173 yards and 3-of-13 on third downs.

Houston

The Cougars (2-2) pulled to .500 on the year with a dominating second half performance their last time out, which ended in a 47-14 thumping of UNLV.

Houston, pulled out to an early lead, but carried just a 13-7 advantage into half. However, the second half was a different story at the Cougars caught fire with 534 yards, including nearly 400 yards on the ground.

Running back Ryan Jackson led the charge, rushing for a ground-pounding 147 yards with Kenneth Farrow totaling 113 yards and Javin Webb 54 yards.

It was much needed however, as the Houston passing attack struggled, as quarterback John O’Korn went just 12-of-27 for 135 yards, with a pair of touchdowns and two interceptions.

The Houston defense held the Rebels to 316 yards and forced three turnovers in the game.
