Temple

The Owls (4-1) built on their already successful 2014 campaign, with a 35-24 win over visiting Tulsa in week seven action.

Temple has played well offensively, and despite never really being able to put the Golden Hurricane away, did manage to roll up nearly 500 yards.

They Owls are getting plenty of balance from its offense, led by quarterback P.J. Walker, who tossed for 295 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception against Tulsa. His favorite targets have been the receiving duo of Jalen Fitzpatrick and Jamie Gilmore, who leads Temple with 207 yards on seven catches.

The ground attack has also helped carry the offensive load, with RB Jahad Thomas leading the way.

Thomas racked up 151 yards on 14 carries against Tulsa, while the defense held them in check, just enough to get the win.

Houston

The Cougars (3-3) have struggled on and off so far this season, but finally looked like the team the football saw in 2013, with a 28-24 win over Memphis squad on the road last time out.

Houston won the turnover battle in a sloppy game, amassing 360 yards offensively, behind one-man offensive machine; quarterback Greg Ward Jr. who finished the game going14-of-25 with 168 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown pass to Markeith Ambles. He also contributed to the Cougars three turnovers with one interception.

Ward also led the ground attack with 95 yards, 64 of which came by way of a 64-yard scoring run.

Running back Kenneth Farrow pitched in with 64 yards and a short touchdown dash.

The defense was mediocre at best one again, and if not for a five Memphis turnovers, the game could have easily gone the other way.

Week 8 NCAA Football Spread Prediction

Temple is on fire, and has been very good on both sides of the ball so far. Houston meanwhile, hasn’t looked all that sharp, barely eeking out win last week.
