Cincinnati

The Bearcats (2-2) got pummeled at home by Memphis 41-14 last weekend, surrendering 610 total yards, 299 coming on the ground.

The offense struggled, turning the ball over twice, while only converting on three of 12 third downs, keeping the Cincy defense on field for 41 minutes.

In the entire 19-minutes the Bearcats’ offense was on the field, quarterback Gunner Kiel completed 11-of-27 passes for 216 yards and one touchdown and one interception. To add insult to injury, Kiel left the game with a rib injury, and is listed as questionable for this weekend’s contest.

With Kiel out, the Cats’ will likely rely on running back Rodriguez Moore, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown in the loss to the Tigers.

Defensively, Cincinnati is giving surrendering an average of 37.3 points per game, which ranks 114th in the country.

Miami

The Hurricanes (3-3) fell to Georgia Tech 28-17 on the road last Saturday. It was their third of as many road losses this season.

Led by standout running back Duke Johnson, who eclipsed 100 yards rushing and a touchdown, the Miami offense rolled up 352 total yards against the Yellow Jackets,.

The Hurricanes hurt themselves however, turning the ball over twice, while converting just one of five third down situation.

The passing game was off, as quarterback Brad Kaaya threw for 245 yards with one touchdown, but completed the outing with a pair of costly interceptions.
