The Wildcats host the Bulldogs on Saturday in the final game in Lexington this season. Georgia comes to town coming off a devastating loss to Florida which snapped a five-game winning streak, and puts a major dent in Georgia’s quest to win the SEC East.

As for Kentucky, the team started the year hot with wins in five of its first six games, helping earn head coach Mark Stoops a new contract extension, but the Wildcats have lost three in a row and are now 2-5 in the SEC after last weekend’s 20-10 loss to Missouri.

The Georgia offense has put up 40.5 points and 440 yards per game. This will be the team’s final game action before getting back star running back Todd Gurley, who is set to return to action on Nov. 15. Nick Chubb’s filled in nicely for him though, racking up 725 yards and six touchdowns on 120 carries.

Quarterback Hutson Mason had his best passing effort yet at the collegiate level a week ago, completing 26-of-41 passes for 319 yards, and career highs. However, it’s the Georgia defense that’s been most impressive. The unit has allowed a modest 22.2 points per game, but they’ve looked great when on, which wasn’t the case against Florida.

Kentucky’s offense has improved from a year ago, averaging 29.2 points per game and 407.8 yards per game, but that unit hasn’t been able to keep up that pace of late, scoring 10 points or fewer in two of the team’s last three outings, racking up only 258 yards against Missouri last weekend.

Quarterback Patrick Towles has been an improvement at the position. Though he’s only been able to connect on less than 60 percent of his passes, he’s thrown for almost 250 yards per game while recording 17 total touchdowns and throwing only five interceptions.

FREE Kentucky vs. Georgia Pick:

Georgia could come to Lexington ready to kick some butt after a disappointing result a week ago, but Kentucky has some teeth too, and the Wildcats are desperate for a big win themselves.

[dfads params=’groups=63739&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

Additionally, both sides pride themselves on strong defensive play, while neither offense looks to have much firepower, at least at the moment for Georgia, which won’t get Gurley back for another week.

Kentucky is 5-1 ATS in its last six home games and 5-2 ATS in its last seven against opponents with a winning record.

The under is 8-2 in Kentucky’s last 10 games in the month of November, and it is 6-2 in Kentucky’s last eight games following a loss.
