Lynch was an unstoppable force in the Huskies’ last game against Central Michigan, rushing for an FBS record for quarterbacks – 316 yards on 32 attempts.

Lynch also added 155 yards and a score through the air, completing 20 of 30 passes, with three scores coming on the ground in the team’s 38-17 win over Central Michigan. As a whole, the Huskies racked up 592 yards of offense against the Chippewas.

Don’t be surprised if the offense continues to roll, as they will take on an Eagles team that has allowed an average of 49.8 points and 523.3 yards per game in their last four contests.

The Huskie defense showed up in a big way in the second half of that game. After the break, the team limited the Chippewas to just three points, six first downs, and 97 yards of offense.

The Eagles lost their sixth game in a row last weekend, falling to Ohio, 56-28. The bright spot for the team was the play of running back Bronson Hill, who ran for a season-high 257 yards and a score on 23 totes against the Bobcats. Hill will be leaned on heavily against the Huskies after racking up 7.5 yards per carry over the team’s last four games. He’ll have to do better than the 29 yards he gained on 11 carries in last year’s meeting. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

The Eagles got a boost in that game right from the get-go when Tyler Allen returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown.

The Eagles defense had trouble stopping the Chippewas through the air, particularly in the second half, allowing Tyler Tettleton to throw for 375 yards and four touchdowns. The game was tied at 21 in the third quarter, but the defense completely fell apart from there, with the team surrendering 35 points the rest of the way. The turnaround began when the Eagles were driving for the go-ahead score and quarterback Tyler Benz was picked off in the endzone. On the next play from scrimmage, the Chippewas connected on an 80-yard touchdown when Tettleton hit Chase Cochran on the long catch and run.

The Huskies look to extend the nation’s longest winning streaks at home, and in conference play in this contest. Northern Illinois should win this game by a comfortable margin against the inferior Eagles, but don’t be surprised if Eastern Michigan gets its points as well.

The over is 4-0 in the Eagles last four games.
