The Warhawks are currently riding a two game winning streak that includes a 48-35 win over Florida International in Week 5, and are currently 2-0 in the Sun Belt Conference.

Arkansas is 0-1 in the conference after losing to Troy, and has lost two straight games by just 3-point margins. Red Wolves quarterback Corey Leonard had 216 yards passing and two TDs, but it was not enough as they lost 24-21 to Iowa in Week 5.

After losing four consecutive games, the Falcons are 2-1 in their last three, coming off a 24-10 loss to Central Michigan last week. QB Tyler Sheehan was 35-for-55 passing for 341 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the ballgame. The Falcons were 1-of-5 in red zone opportunities, losing the ball on both an interception and a fumble. For the season, Sheehan has completed 65 percent of his passes for 2,677 yards with 15 touchdowns and only five interceptions. Off course he has had a little help from WR Freddie Barnes who has 99 receptions for 1,054 yards and nine touchdowns this year. Stopping the run remains the biggest concern for Bowling Green. They have allowed opponents to rush for at least 100 yards six times in their first eight games, and are surrendering 201.7 yards per game on the ground.

The passing game is the strength of the Bulls’ offense. The only time QB Zach Maynard has passed for fewer than 210 yards was in his first start at Texas-El Paso. The Bulls are coming off a 34-31 OT loss to Western Michigan in Week 8. Ike Nduka, who has stepped in to replace injured back James Starks, finished with 172 yards rushing on the day. The Bulls’ defense dropped to 60th nationally in yards per game, allowing opponents an average of 158.3 yards, and suffered several key injuries to their secondary during Saturday’s loss. Turnovers are also contributing to the Bulls problems; 17 turnovers lost and only six gained.

Buffalo is second in the MAC in total offense and Bowling Green is fourth.

Falcons vs. Bulls Odds:

The odds makers currently have Buffalo as –4-point favorites.

Bowling Green vs. Buffalo Free Pick:

With little or no running game at all, the Falcons are averaging 61.6 yards per game on the ground. It will be up to Sheehan and Barnes to provide the offense will the defense limits the Bulls’ running attack.
