Boston College Eagles vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Free Gambling Prediction & Week 8 Preview

Eagles vs Yellow Jackets NCAA Football Spread/Handicapping

It has to be sack watch in Chestnut Hill these days, as in how many days until they sack the coach.  Everyone knew this wasn’t going to be a vintage season for the Eagles but 1-5 including a loss to Army is below even those low preseason expectations.

Boston College

They have an 0-5 ATS record in their games against FBS competition this year so even Vegas thinks they should be better than they have shown to this point.

There is not a lot right with BC but the biggest question has to be what happened to the defense.  The past few years they have been able to stymie teams and keep themselves in the game but this year they have been failing miserable holding a team under 30 points just once.

That puts way too much pressure on an offense ill equipped with the weapons its needs to compete in the ACC.

Given their lousy play and lousy record against the number it is hard to like Boston College under any circumstances right now.  Going on the road to face a Georgia Tech team featuring an unconventional offense doesn’t sound good either.

That extra half point helps the BC cause but I would stay away from this team this year.

Georgia Tech

The Yellow Jackets season has come off the rails.  After their opener against Virginia Tech I thought they were a sleeper but it looks like neither of these teams is anything close to the real deal this year. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Still, losing to Middle Tennessee State, at home, by 21 points is one of the worst losses anyone has going right now.

Georgia Tech has lost three in a row and needs to snap out of their funk if they want to play in the postseason.

Don’t blame the running game.  Using their triple option offense GT is still running all over people to the tune of more than 300 yards a game.  Quarterback Tevin Washington is leading an attack that scores points but his defensive mates are not stopping anybody.

The ACC is not exactly stacked with killer offenses but they are getting creamed by them except for outings against underperforming Virginia and Virginia Tech

It is hard to like GT right now but with Boston College coming to town why not.

I would love to see that number come down to an even 14 but since I think they will win by more than 20 it is not enough to move me completely off this one.

I see the dominant running game being more than enough to get the cover on Saturday.
