Baylor has recorded a whopping 70.5 points and 779.5 yards per game through their first four contests, but they’ll hit the road for the first time in this contest, and whether their show travels well or not is still to be determined.

Baylor last started 4-0 in 1991, and they’ll look to keep that run going as they get set for their second game against a Big 12 opponent.

A week ago, the team set a Big 12 record with 864 total yards in their 73-42 win over West Virginia. The 73 points scored is the most scored by the Bears in a conference game in school history.

The team scored their first touchdown of the contest just 40 seconds in and didn’t look back from there.

Quarterback Bryce Petty’s day ended early, but he still completed 17 of 25 passes for 347 yards and two scores, adding an additional score on the ground. The team scored touchdowns on nine of the 10 possessions on which he was at the helm. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Lache Seastrunk put up his eight consecutive 100-yard rushing game, despite not playing a snap in the second half. Seastrunk rushed for 172 yards on 15 carries, scoring two of the team’s record-tying eight rushing touchdowns, one of which came from 80 yards out. As a team, the Bears rushed for 468 yards.

The Kansas State defense will need to step up big in this contest, which isn’t out of the question after a strong effort against a good Oklahoma State offense. The unit wasn’t able to hold when the going got tough though, allowing J.W. Walsh to throw for a score late in the fourth quarter to put Oklahoma State ahead for good.

The Wildcats have a positive to draw off of from that game – the play of quarterback Daniel Sams. Sams racked up 299 yards of offense and three scores, but he still has plenty to work on, throwing three interceptions in the game, including two in the team’s final two drives of the game.

Baylor has made a point of annihilating opponents this season which has earned them plenty of style points in the AP poll.

A win at Kansas State would be their biggest yet, so don’t be surprised if they look to run up the score, building up a margin and keeping their foot on the throats of the Wildcats.

The Bears are 10-0 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

The play: Baylor -17
