Get ready for March Madness with our 2009 NCAAB daily gambling matchup previews, picks, and predictions. The Pittsburgh Panthers play the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday, we preview and pick this game…

NCAA Basketball Game of the night – Pitt at Louisville

The Pittsburgh Panthers (16-0 SU, 6-4—1 ATS, 6-5 O/U) remained undefeated after beating the South Florida Bulls 75-62 on Wednesday, despite failing to cover the spread as whopping 21-point home favorites in the BetUS Sportsbook. The Louisville Cardinals (12-3 SU, 8-7 ATS, 5-8 O/U) have reeled off four consecutive wins after losing on Dec. 31, beating a fine Notre Dame team 87-73 in overtime on Monday to cover the spread for BetUS NCAA college basketball online betting backers as a 6.5-point home favorite.

The Panthers pounded South Florida as sophomore center DeJuan Blair recorded a double-double with 13 points and 18 boards as Pitt overcame a slow start win going away.

Blair, who leads the nation with 6.3 offensive boards a game and is second in overall average, pulling down 13.0 per game, praised point guard, Levance Fields.

“He’s the best point guard in the nation as far as I’m concerned,” Blair said. “Playing with him, you can tell how good he is at getting you the ball in the right position, and making sure that our offense is always moving in rhythm.”

After not facing a ranked opponent in its first 13 games, the Cardinals have heated up in a big way lately. Louisville survived in OT to beat No. 12 Notre Dame as senior forward Terrence Williams scored a team-high 24 points to lead four players in double figure scoring.

“We lost three games and a lot of people were down on us,” said Terrence Williams, who finished with 24 points, 16 rebounds and eight assists. “To take the lead in overtime and execute, that shows that this team is maturing.”

Analysis: I think the Pittsburgh Panthers are clearly the better, deeper and more experienced team in this matchup and will win narrowly, although I certainly don’t expect a cakewalk by any means whatsoever.

Take the Panthers to win outright by somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 -8 points.
