The Buckeyes are in a 4 way tie for second place in the Big Ten. All 4 of those teams are ranked and I think that Ohio State is probably the worst of the bunch. They have won their last three games but have not beaten any ranked opponents on the road this season.

Ohio State
If they can knock off one of the top teams in the nation it may help their tournament resume but that is highly unlikely as this team doesn’t really have the depth for that sort of thing.
It is the same old story with the Buckeyes. Forward DeShaun Thomas is a next level scorer but often doesn’t get the kind of support they need to beat good teams. Point guard Aaron Craft is a pest but his offensive game has gotten so inconsistent that he can sometimes be a liability.
To beat Indiana they are going to have to score some points and it is hard to see who will do that for them.

The Buckeyes are solid ATS – 14-11-1. Still I don’t like backing them because of that unreliable scoring. They had a hard time neutralizing the Hoosiers when they hosted them earlier this season and on the road it is going to be even tougher.
Unless this gets to double digits I don’t think you can play them.
Indiana
I am not sure the Hoosiers still don’t deserve to be the number one team in the nation but there is no doubting they are very, very good. I think the best way to beat these guys is to play up tempo and try and outscore them like Butler and some others did but they were also beaten by Wisconsin who plays more like OSU.
It is going to very tough for the Buckeyes to try and make up the 13 point loss they already experienced at home. [ad-6571516]
Unlike the Buckeyes, Indiana can kill you with depth. Yes Cody Zeller may have an NBA ceiling but after him you have Victor Oladipo and Christian Watford for tangle with. Then they have blur of a freshman Yogi Ferrell and a host of outside shooters…plus role players that are actually comfortable in their roles.
It is a lot to contend with which is why they are probably the odds on favourite to win it all this season.
Indiana has been taking care of business at home, 17-1 SU and 10-6 ATS. Assembly Hall is probably underrated as a homecourt advantage but this version of the team gets into the flow easily there, their one loss being a game where they couldn’t stop Butler from scoring.
The only reason they might stumble in this one is if they are already looking ahead to a trip to Michigan on the weekend to close the season.
