Louisville (24-4) has won 11 of its last 13, dating back to 73-67 home loss at Memphis back on Jan. 9.

The Cardinals let the Tigers loose in the closing minutes of that one, finishing the game shooting nearly 51 percent, as all five of Memphis’ starters reached double figures.

Luke Hancock meanwhile, provided Louisville’s offensive spark, with 20 points off the bench, while Russ Smith scored 19 points and Montrezl Harrell chipped in 14 and 11 rebounds for the Cardinals.

Memphis held the Cardinals to 6-of-19 from 3-point range and 39.1 percent from the floor as well.

The Cardinals cruised to their seventh straight win, 88-66 over visiting Temple last time out, moving into a tie with Cincinnati atop the American Athletic Conference.

In the meantime, Memphis (21-7) is coming off a shocking 77-68 loss to Houston on Thursday.

Michael Dixon Jr., who has scored in double figures for the ninth straight game, led Memphis with a season-high 19 points and Shaq Goodwin added 16 points and 10 rebounds, as the Tigers lost for the second time in four games.

The other loss was an 81-86 overtime loss to Connecticut on Feb. 15.

Free Pick: Providence — The Tigers got some revenge after suffering an 87-78 home loss to the Cardinals last season, beating the them earlier this season, but are still 1-2 against them over the last four years.

Memphis is also pretty good at home, a place where they are 13-2.

In the meantime, Louisville can be found near the top of the conference standings in the following categories: turnover percentage at 14.8 and effective field goal percentage at 54.6. And to boot they are not too shabby on the road, sporting a 8-1 record.

Their lone road loss was at Kentucky back in early December.

I expect this one to be close, but I am going with the Cardinals, unless at game time, the spread is more than five points, then the Wildcats could be a good bargain.
