Kansas

The first of those losses was to Oklahoma State who is now tied with Kansas for second in the Big 12 standings, adding even more juice to this contest.

Kansas is looking to prove they are more the team that beat down Kansas State and Texas there last two games than lost to OSU, TCU and Oklahoma before that.

During their losing streak Kansas lost with both poor offense and poor defense.  Over the last two both returned, especially against Texas who they beat by 26.

With players like Ben McLemore, Jeff Withey and Travis Releford this Kansas team can be so fantastic at times but because they lack great play at the point this year they can look pretty ordinary at times – that might be kind.

It happens so infrequently you have to consider Kansas as the slight underdog, especially on the money line because of the small number and the potential better payoff.

You also think it has to be unlikely that a team like Kansas is going to lose to the same team twice in one season.  Its maybe too obvious.

Oklahoma State

The Cowboys are on a fantastic run right now.  They have won 7 in a row including that win against Kansas (on the road) and two overtime victories.

They can match Kansas State at the top of the conference standings with another victory over the Jayhawks.  They have lost only one game at home this season and have all the momentum.

It should be a raucous environment in Stillwater. [ad-6571516]

Four perimeter players from the perimeter average more than 11ppg for the Cowboys.  The surprise among them may be leading scorer Markel Brown.

He was a good player in his first couple of years and has really thrived this season.  It is probably no coincidence the arrival of fabulous freshman point guard Marcus Smart.

The Cowboys will also need a solid game from LeBryan Nash who might have the most next level talent of the three.

The Cowboys bubble has to burst at some point, right?  The reality is that in their victory over KU they didn’t play a perfect game, just a good one, so they could definitely repeat the performance on their home court.

They might have to play better to get it done and try and get a piece of the conference title.

Spread Pick:  Kansas +1.5
