The NCAA tournament may be a pipe dream for both these teams now but we can’t say UConn and Notre Dame aren’t trying. The Huskies had a nice run last week that included a road win at Villanova and the Irish downed both Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech over that span.
Jerome Dyson will have to continue his consistently sound play for UConn to have a chance on the road tonight and Kemba Walker should have a big game if his recent play is any indication. The diminutive guard has scored 29, 16, 21 and 28 points over his last four games.
In the end, I don’t think the Huskies have what it takes tonight. They’re a just 2-6 on the road this season and the two-point spread makes tonight’s game a borderline pick’em. The Irish are a potent offensive group, shooting an outstanding 41.3 per cent from three-point-range, and Luke Harangody is a prolific offensive force, averaging a double-double per game at 24.1 points and 10 boards. 
At home, UConn could take this one, but I don’t think it’s up to the task on the road.
