Known for being the loudest arena in the WAC, the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum will be buzzing on Wednesday night as the Nevada Wolf Pack invades Logan to take on the inexorable Aggies.

Utah State has won its past 26 home games, the third-longest streak in the nation behind only Duke and Kentucky, and moved  up to No. 22 in the latest Associated Press Poll after  winning 15 straight, including Saturday night’s 87-84 double-overtime victory at Hawaii. Five players scored in double digits including Brian Green’s team high 22 points and senior forward Tai Wesley, who leads Utah State with a 14.3 scoring average, netting 12.

With their win over the Warriors, the Aggies extended their win streak to 27 straight (78 of their past 80) WAC home games and have victories in 36 of their past 37 overall.

As for the Wolf Pack, they have won four in a row including a narrow 79-76 against Fresno State nearly a week ago. Dario Hunt had 24 points and 11 rebounds while Deonte Burton added 17 points and Malik Story 13.

Like most teams, the Wolf Pack’s success in Logan has been scant. Nevada is 2-16 all-time at Utah State and 1-4 there since the Aggies joined the WAC in 2005, including a 76-65 loss at The Spectrum last season.

This will be the second of two meetings this season, the first ending in an 81-67 win for the Aggies in Reno. Wesley scored 21 points and Utah State rallied from being down 49-39 with 13:54 with a 15-3 run to pull ahead en route to its 17th consecutive conference win.

Despite being heavy underdogs, the Wolf Pack will bring some confidence into the game thanks to their four-game winning streak. However, facing a nearly perfect and nationally ranked Utah State team is difficult enough on its own. That task will be magnified in Logan, where the Wolf Pack players also will be the target of thousands of raucous fans ready to ridicule them until they crack.

Gambling Trends:

Nevada is 1-10 SU in its last 11 games on the road
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Nevada’s last 6 games on the road
Utah State is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing at home against Nevada
Utah State is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games

Matt’s Free Pick: Utah -14 ½
