Ginobili leads San Antonio with a 19.1 scoring average with Parker chipping in with 17.9 per game. Nowitzki leads Dallas with a 24.1 scoring average. His replacement for Tuesday’s game, Shawn Marion, had just 12 points. Jason Terry scored 18 points and Caron Butler added 15 as Dallas shot just 41.3 percent from the field and hit only 5-of-22 3-point shots.

The division rival San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks are set to renew hostilities on Thursday when they meet at American Airlines Center.

Last time out for Dallas, they were an 84-76 loser as they battled the Raptors at home. Last time out for San Antonio, they were a 97-82 winner as they battled the Lakers at home. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

The nightcap offers a fun matchup between two veteran teams which were supposedly planning to martial their energy for the post-season but instead are kicking serious derriere in the Western Conference. San Antonio’s amazing 27-4 start has confounded anyone and everyone, and Dallas’s quick jump (24-6) is almost as amazing.

Both figure to come down to earth later in the season when they rest for the playoffs and other teams go balls to the wall to qualify, but for now it’s a great matchup. Lots depends on the status of ailing Dirk Nowitzki. Without him the Mavs are, well, capable of losing to the Raptors, which shouts volumes.

TNT NBA Gambling Trends:

San Antonio is 12-1 SU in its last 13 games
The total has gone OVER in 5 of San Antonio’s last 6 games on the road
The total has gone UNDER in 5 of San Antonio’s last 6 games when playing Dallas
San Antonio is 9-2 SU in its last 11 games on the road
Dallas is 17-2 SU in its last 19 games
Dallas is 7-1 SU in its last 8 games when playing at home against San Antonio
The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Dallas’s last 6 games when playing San Antonio
Dallas is 9-2 SU in its last 11 games at home

Best bets: If the Mavs are cautious with Nowitzki, the Spurs figure to get an easy cover. They have momentum and the motivation of having lost to Dallas in San Antonio earlier this season. SA’s fast start is beginning to spook the rest of the Western Conference. Parlay players can also try the over, at an appetizing 191.5.

Orlando is 4-1 covering the number since the big trades, and also 4-1 on the Over. The Magic have always relied on Howard and a boatful of 3-point shooters, and that’s hardly a recipe for a team that thinks it can win a title.

In the last five games Orlando is shooting just about 47 percent behind the arc, and that simply cannot continue as opponents begin to game-plan and Magic shooters begin to shot at their customary levels.

Reasonable bet here is on the Over (211.5), with both teams trying to outscore each other and even running after made hoops.
