San Antonio Spurs vs. Chicago Bulls Gambling & NBA Handicapping Prediction

San Antonio vs Chicago NBA Picks

The Spurs are healthy and in fine form right now. They are on a 6 game winning streak that included a home domination of Miami – it seems like they might have been spurred by Houston nipping at their heels. [ad-4468020]

San Antonio

This is a very good road team (23-8) that will not be shy about extending their winning streak against the limited Bulls.

They are looking more and more like the team that almost won the championship last season.

Now that they are healthy the Spurs are having some success with Manu Ginobili coming off the bench. He and Boris Diaw give some real depth to their lineup and Tony Parker can still put up big numbers like the 30 points he had last time out against Orlando.

I still think this team will need big performance from the like of Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to meet their goals this season and they are playing contributing more lately.

In terms of wins and losses San Antonio is equally good at home and on the road. However, against the number they are far better away with an 18-13 record.

That is no surprise for this experienced team which is hard not to like as a relatively short favourite the way they have been playing lately.

Chicago

I keep discounting the Bulls and they keep proving me wrong. They have the league’s top defense and their play over the last couple of month has moved them from a playoff maybe to a for sure playoff team in the East – maybe the one team that nobody wants to play.

I don’t always see how they are going to do it it but it hard to argue with the results and coach Tom Thibodeau is probably the coach of the year.

Lately all the talk has been about how good a passer Joakim Noah is. Not only is he leading the team in assists but he has two triple doubles in the last two weeks showing a spectacular all around game. It would have seemed ludicrous at the start of the season but I am even hearing MVP talk about the skinny 5 man.

This team is still lacking for great scoring options so they need all the unconventional help they can get.

The Bulls just beat Miami in overtime so there is huge letdown possibilities in this one. Back to back games against the league top teams it seems like too much to ask for them to win both and I think this one could get pretty ugly if Chicago can not make shots.

It is hard to get the Spurs off their game with just solid defense alone.

Spread Pick: San Antonio -4.5
O/U Pick: Over
Score Prediction: San Antonio 101 – Chicago 92
