Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs Preview

On the season the Thunder are 36-33-2 ATS and they have an O/U record of 34-36-1 and the Spurs are 32-36-2 ATS and they have an O/U record of 34-36.

This season the Spurs are 26-8 at home and the Thunder are 14-21 on the road.

In their last games the Thunder beat the L.A. Lakers 127-117 and the Spurs lost to the Dallas Mavericks 101-94.

Both of these teams have won 7 of their last 10 games and while the Spurs had been hot winning 3 straight they lost their last game. The Thunder are the 7.5-point betting underdog in this game, but they have won 4 in a row overall and they have beaten the Spurs in 6 straight games.

With Kevin Durant still out with an injury the Thunder are being carried by Russell Westbrook and Enes Kanter, who came to OKC in a trade from the Jazz last month.

With his stellar play as of late Westbrook has to be the front-runner for the MVP and he is the leading scorer in the league.

In his last 13 games he is averaging 32.7 ppg, 9.6 rpg, and 11.2 assists per game. Kanter is averaging 21.6 ppg and 12.6 rpg in his last 8 games.

Not only are the Thunder without Durant, but it loos as if Serge Ibaka (14.3 ppg 7.8 rpg) may miss the rest of the season.

The Thunder can tie their longest winning streak of the Spurs with a win tonight and they won 7 straight facing them when they were the Seattle Supersonics back in the 1993-1994 season.

The Spurs have won 14 of their last 16 home games.

Kawhi Leonard leads the Spurs in scoring and missed the last game facing the Spurs with an injury. In his last 12 games overall he is averaging 19.9 ppg.

Tony Parker had been playing well, but in the loss to Dallas he was only 3/11 from the floor only scoring 8 points.

The Spurs are one of the more balanced teams in the league, as they rank 11th in scoring and 9th in opponents’ points per game.
