ATS Matchup Insight | CappersPicks Insider Preview

Oklahoma City Thunder:

The Oklahoma City Thunder are coming into Oakland probably a bit exhausted after playing a tough game versus the Los Angeles Clippers.

This is the first time in this young season that the Thunder will be playing back-to-back games, but the last time they played two road games was the first two games of the year.

On October 30th, the Thunder played the Utah Jazz and came out on top 101-98. On November 1st, the Thunder played the Minnesota Timberwolves and got blown out by 19 points. The only time this season that the Thunder did hit the century mark.

In fact, they didn’t even come close; They only scored 81 points.

With it being so early in the year, I don’t expect the Thunder to come out and give a 100% effort.

I don’t think they’ll be all there and it’s up to Golden State to take advantage of this…well, pardon the pun, but golden opportunity.

Golden State Warriors:

The Golden State Warriors are a hungry team. The Warriors have been chomping at the bit for a game to prove that they are for real. They really want this game. The Warriors are in a position of wanting to make a statement.

Golden State is 5-3 for the season and really wanting to tell the basketball world that they are a legit team. They get to make that early season statement this Thursday versus the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The ORACLE Arena is a tough place to play and a tough place to win for the opposition. Not only that, but the Warriors have had a day to kick back and relax. They had a day off while the Thunder were busy playing the Clippers, getting on a plane, trying to get some sleep, get off the plane, go to bed, and getting up to get ready to play the Warriors.

On Tuesday, the Warriors played the Detroit Pistons and they came out firing on cylinders.

Granted, it was against the Pistons, but it was the effort they gave. I expect them to give the same amount of effort, maybe even more, in order to make a statement by beating one of the top teams in the Western Conference.

Danny’s FREE NBA Pick:

It’s a tough task for an NBA team to play back to back nights against a couple of really good teams in the Western Conference. With the Thunder playing a hard fought game against the Los Angeles Clippers the previous night they should be pretty exhausted and might not be able to give a full 4 quarters.

With it being this early in the season and the Warriors an up and coming team, I believe they’ll want it more than the Thunder. In this spot, at home, the Warriors should be able to capitalize on this opportunity a

Pick: Golden State Warriors -4.5
