It might be a good time to pay outstanding bills and stock up on provisions.

Matchup: MAVERICKS vs. SPURS

Time: Friday 9:30 ET
Venue: AT&T Center, San Antonio
Spread: Spurs -3
Over/Under: 193.5

San Antonio’s decision victory over the Mavericks in Game 2 makes it a pretty good certainty that this series will not be over any time soon and could go to the full complement of 7 games.

Dallas players are no doubt kicking themselves for messing up a golden opportunity to go up 2-0 in losing at home a few nights ago, but in this series venue will take a back seat to execution.

San Antonio flat-out ran its offense better than Dallas did, plus put the clamps down defensively and as a result headed back to south Texas with the series deadlocked.

When Game 4 rolls around on Sunday night Tim Duncan will be celebrating his 34th birthday, and the Mavericks are hoping that age combined with the wear and tear of a long grinding series will start to take a toll on the Big Fundamental. Duncan chewed up the Maverick front line in Game 2 and now is shooting better than 50 percent for the series. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

Matter of fact, Manu Ginobili, Richard Jefferson and Antonio McDyess are all at 50 percent or above from the field.

With two evenly matched teams (7 of the 8 quarters played so far have been near-pushes, with the Spurs dominating the second period of Game 2), there is a distinct possibility that this series will consume the entire month of April and conclude in a winner-take-all Game 7 in Dallas on May 1.

Mavs vs. Spurs Free Game 3 NBA Prediction

Under players got a gift and over players got hosed when the teams stalled in the final minutes of Game 2 and no one could score.

The O/U number is 193.5 for Friday night and likely won’t budge. Dallas will be hoping its bench shows up in Game 3 – Jose Barea, Brendan Haywood and Erik Dampier have struggled, and they logged key minutes in the second period of Game 2 when SA went on its decisive run, outscoring the Mavs by 8 and taking control of what otherwise was an even game.

Home court in the third games of series is more important than usual, and the Spurs look like a solid choice here at -3.

[Note: The teams split two games in San Antonio this season, each winning a game by 9 points. However, the games were played so early in the season that they mean nothing now.]
