The Trail Blazers come into this NBA Picks contest as one of the more surprising teams in the league as they beat expectations and grabbed the NBA Picks fourth seed in the Western Conference and home-court advantage in the first round. Portland is the youngest team in the NBA Picks playoffs ending the season at 54-28 and tied the Denver Nuggets at the top of the Northwest Division. Portland is hoping that Gregg Oden will be able to play in tonight’s NBA Picks contest but he did not practice yesterday because of a sinus infection. He is considered a game-time decision for the NBA Picks playoff opener. In the first meeting this season between the two NBA Picks teams the Blazers won 101-99 victory at the Rose Garden.
Not only is Portland a young NBA Picks team but they haven’t been to the playoffs in six seasons while the Rockets haven’t advanced in the NBA Picks playoffs since 1997 losing six straight first-round series.

Houston, with an impressive win in game one grabs the early edge in this series. If will be interesteing to see how Portland reacts in game two, as their lack of playoff experience might work against them.
Portland was the 4th best team in the NBA this year with their home record, if they don’t start playing like it they’ll be the first team out of the playoffs, I smell a sweep, but I hope I’m wrong, Houston looks great though…
