While the first meeting was a low scoring defensive battle, the last meeting featured a back and forth shootout in which Curry took off and led the Warriors to a 114-109 lead.

Oklahoma City

A 17-17 record for the Thunder is quite skewed. Battling injuries to Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, the Thunder will have both healthy and on the court Monday night when the Thunder invade Golden State.

Durant has gone off in the Thunder’s last two contests, scoring 44 points against the Suns and 34 against the Wizards. The recipe to success for the Thunder is to typically give the ball to Durant or Westbrook and get out of their way.

On the season, Durant is averaging 25.5 points per contest and Westbrook is scoring 27.3 per game. The duo has gotten the Thunder back into the race as they sit just 1.5 games out of the 8th seed.

Contributing with Durant and Westbrook has been PG Reggie Jackson and PF Serge Ibaka. Jackson is scoring 15.5 points a game and 5.2 assists. He had 8 assists in the Thunder’s victory over the Wizards on Friday.

As a team Oklahoma City is scoring 99.4 points per game (19th). That number is also a bit off as games with Durant and Westbrook both playing typically see the Thunder scoring north of 100 points.

On the road this season, Oklahoma City is just 7-10 S.U. They’re 0-1 in Golden State with that loss coming on December 18th.

Golden State

After looking bad on their 2 game Los Angeles road trip, the Warriors have gotten themselves back on track with 3 straight wins, all at home. This will be the 4th of 6 straight home contests for the Warriors. Golden State currently holds the best record in the NBA and a 1.5 game lead over the Portland Trailblazers for the best record in the West.

Steph Curry leads the way with 23.1 points per game and 7.8 assists for the Warriors. Curry continues to impress every game as he went off against Toronto with 32 points, 12 assists and 5 three point field goals. In his last meeting against the Thunder, Curry went for 34 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds.

Getting contributions from just about everyone has become a normality for Golden State. The Warriors have 6 players that average double figures, and have one of the best benches in the NBA.

Surprisingly, PF Marreese Speights has been a giant part of the Warriors this season as he averages 12.6 points a game. Speights went for 26 last game against the Raptors.

Golden State has only dropped one contest at home this season, as they are 13-1 inside Oracle Arena.

NBA Basketball Handicapping Trends:

  • Thunder are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games playing on 2 days rest.
  • Thunder are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 vs. NBA Pacific.
  • Warriors are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 vs. NBA Northwest.
  • Warriors are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 home games.

Free 4* NBA Basketball Pick: Golden State -3.5

Getting Golden State with this low of a spread is just too tough of a spot to pass up on.

Golden State 108, Oklahoma City 100

Expect a meeting like last time, with Curry and Thompson pulling away late.
