The Royals are probably the biggest surprise thus far in the 2009 MLB season.
They send up the AL pitcher of the month for April. Greinke lead MLB in wins, era and strikeouts earlier this week. KC has won 8 of the last 10 games and 6 straight vs. left-handed pitching. Greinke is completely dominating hitters using 4 solid pitches for strikes. KC is scoring more runs as of late. They have scored 7 or more in 6 of the last 10 games compared to only 4 times in the first 20 games.
The Angels will continue to be without the services of Vladamir Guerrero. As a team they have been disappointing so far this year. Expected to win the division, it has taken an 8-3 record over the last 11 just to tie for 2nd in a very weak AL West division. LA has the 2nd best ERA in the AL from their starters. However, they have the worst bullpen in the AL with an ERA over 7.50. Look for KC to attack early in the count with Saunders trying to get ahead of hitters early.
