The Blue Jays trot out Mark Buehrle in this one. While he hasn’t been great thus far, an outing against the Indians presents a perfect opportunity for him to turn things around.

In his lone start against Cleveland last season, Buehrle pitched a gem at Progressive Field, holding the Indians scoreless over seven innings of work, allowing only four hits in a 5-0 Blue Jays victory.
The Indians counter with Carlos Carrasco. He threw an absolute beauty to start the year, limiting the Astros to three hits and no runs over 6 1/3 innings in a 2-0 victory. Since then, he’s posted a 7.71 ERA, with the Indians losing two of those three starts.
Carrasco’s outings against the Blue Jays were pretty forgettable last year. He allowed four runs on six hits and walked three in 5 2/3 innings of work in his lone start, and gave up two runs in one inning of relief in another start. Add it all up and he’s got an 8.10 ERA and 1.80 WHIP.

The Blue Jays offer solid value in this one. While Carrasco’s been as solid a pitcher as there is in the bigs at times this season, Buehrle’s had more success against the Indians than Carrasco has the Blue Jays.
Additionally, the under is worth a look with Carrasco figuring to keep the Blue Jays in check for the most part, and Buehrle in position to give the Indians a whole lot of trouble.
Cleveland has been hopeless against left-handed pitchers, so Buehrle can be expected to continue his success against them.
