Monday MLB Betting Parlay – Blue Jays vs. Red Sox, Dodgers vs. Giants

MLB Betting Previews- Tuesday, June 26 Parlay

The MLB regular season Interleague schedule wrapped things up this past Sunday. Turning to this week’s games, there are a number of key matchups on the schedule as the divisional races continue to heat up with the summer temperatures.

After poring over all pertinent stats and information available for the pitching matchups on Tuesday’s slate of games, we have uncovered a two-team parlay that promises to get your week off to a great start.

Game 1- Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox
Money Line: Toronto +140 Boston -155
Total Line: 9

Matchup | Preview

Aaron Laffey is scheduled to be on the mound for Toronto on Tuesday night. The left-hander will be making his first start of the season after appearing in four games of relief where he gave-up three earned runs in nine innings of work. He went 3-4 with an ERA of 3.81 in a recent 10-game stint with the Triple-A Los Vegas Nevada 51’s.

The Red Sox will send Daisuke Matsuzaka to the mound as their starter in this game. He has given-up 11 earned runs in three previous starts for Boston this season and lost two of the three decisions. He has a solid 1.10 WHIP through just over 16 innings pitched but an ERA of 6.06. The right-hander is 7-1 against the Blue Jays with a 3.46 ERA.

Boston is actually 11-0 in Matsuzaka’s last 11 starts against Toronto and 6-2 against the Blue Jays in the last eight meetings at Fenway. Look for the Red Sox’s heavy-hitting lineup to take full advantage of Laffey’s debut as a starter to lock-up the first half of this parlay. [dfads params=’groups=10&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

Game 2- Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants
Money Line: Los Angeles -115 San Francisco +105
Total Line: 6.5

Matchup | Preview

The Dodgers will have their ace Clayton Kershaw available for this key NL West matchup. He looked in Cy Young form his last time out; holding the Athletics to just three-hits and no earned runs over eight innings. The left-hander is now 5-3 on the year with a 2.73 ERA. He is 6-2 against the Giants in his career with an ERA of 1.34.

San Francisco will counter with Ryan Vogelsong. The right-hander has produced 12 quality starts this season in 13 total outings. He has given-up a total of 10 earned runs in his last five starts and is currently 6-3 overall with a 2.41 ERA. Vogelsong has been especially strong at home this season with an ERA of 1.47. He is 3-2 against the Dodgers with a 4.17 ERA.

LA has won seven of the last 10 meetings including taking two of three at home earlier this season, but stick with the Giants to grind-out a win at home to complete the parlay in this pitching duel. Vogelsong has held up extremely well at AT&T Park this season and Tuesday night will not be an exception.
