College football week 6 football straight up selections from the best sports handicappers in the world at CappersPicks.com

NCAA Week 6 College Football Moneylines!

The good news is that I avoided USC and Florida last week. The bad news is that Wake Forest still collapsed, losing outright to Navy and hence presents our first landmine of the year. It’s time to make up some ground and get back into the positives.

Record: 13-5 (-1.85 units)

BYU Cougars (-4000) @ Utah State Aggies

After all the upsets last weekend, the BYU Cougars have climbed all the way up to eight in the AP Poll and even though they are on the road on a short week, they won’t be one of the teams that is upset this week. The Cougars have already gone through the meet of their schedule and for them to reserve a spot in a BCS Bowl, they’ll need to not only keep winning, but keep winning big. The Aggies are awful and if the Cougars play down to their level, it could hurt them in the polls so look for the Cougars to roll big time on one of the worst teams in the nation.

Pick: BYU -4000

Florida International Golden Panthers @ North Texas Mean Green (+200)

North Texas has been one of the weaker teams in the FBS this season, which isn’t so much of a surprise, but what is a shock is that their offense has been so feeble. But back at home, they should be able to get untracked. The Mean Green were stomped by FIU late last season and this is somewhat of a revenge game. More importantly, as bad as North Texas is, this might be their best chance to win this season so expect them to take this game seriously. Laying points on the road with FIU is not appealing. FIU hasn’t been a road favorite of 3.5 to 10 points in the last 16 years – there’s probably a reason for that. They have once been favored by 3.5 to 10 points in the last 16 years and they lost that game outright.

Pick: North Texas +200

Florida Gators (-4000) @ Arkansas Razorbacks

Tim Tebow and his Florida Gators may have kissed their BCS Championship hopes goodbye last week with a home loss to Ole Miss but Tebow vowed that his team won’t lose focus this week. The Gators are 9-1 after a loss in the Urban Meyer era and they will get a cupcake this week in Arkansas, who is one of the worst teams in the SEC. Arkansas lost to Texas and Alabama by a combined score of 101-24 and barely beat Western Illinois and Louisiana-Monroe to start the season. They have had a very tough time grasping Bobby Petrino’s offense and will have trouble matching points.

Texas Longhorns @ Colorado Buffaloes (+450)

The Texas Longhorns are ranked fifth overall in the AP poll and here’s some breaking news: they are overrated. The Longhorns have yet to play anyone of note this year, which includes Arkansas, who is terrible this year. Colorado was in a tough spot last week traveling to Florida State but they still were competitive and had they played better special teams, could have got the job done.

The Longhorns are just 4-3 straight up in their last seven games as a favorite of 10.5 to 21 points and traveling to Boulder is not an easy task. Look for the Buffaloes to show up big time this week as Texas might get caught looking ahead to Oklahoma.

Pick: Colorado +450
