Analysis: While I’ll be the first person to admit that I am very impressed with the Minnesota Gophers this season, I just don’t see them beating a very talented – and underrated – Wisconsin team, despite the fact that they are playing at home in this Big ten showdown.

While Minnesota is averaging a very nice 24.8 points per game this season, Wisconsin is averaging a whopping 36.0 points per game this season and has scored at least 34 points in each of their last three games.

Not only that, but the Badgers have been playing some very solid defense as well, allowing just 25.0 points per contest while Minnesota is allowing 24.0 points per game defensively.

While the Badgers are just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog and 2-6 ATS versus a team with a winning record, the Badgers have also gone an impressive 4-1 ATS in their last five conference games.

The Golden Gophers have gone an impressive 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following an SU win and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 conference games, but I think the fact that Minnesota has also gone just 1-4 ATS in their last five home games will come back to haunt them in this matchup.

With the Badgers also going 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings against Minnesota and the Over going 9- 0 in the last nine meetings and 4- 0 in the last four meetings in Minnesota, I say Wisconsin and the Over play out in this matchup.
