NFL Sports Betting Lock Alert – Hapless Lions Host Angry Titans
The Detroit Lions (0-11 SU, 4-7 ATS, 7-3-1 O/U) are in trouble BetUS NFL bettors!
One week after losing their 11th straight game, the hapless Lions get to play host to the Tennessee Titans (10-1 SU, 9-2 ATS, 5-6 O/U) who will be in a very foul mood after losing their first game of the regular season on Sunday.
Both teams will be look to pick up a win for fans and BetUS NFL sports betting buffs on Thanksgiving Day at Ford Field.
The Lions were routed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, losing 38-20 at home as an 8-point underdog last week. Veteran quarterback Daunte Culpepper completed just 8 of 20 passes for 121 yards with one touchdown, but also threw two interceptions in the loss, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Bucs defensive back Ronde Barber.
Culpepper was benched in the third quarter after the team failed to capitalize on its stunning 17-0 first half lead.
“Do I agree with it? No, but I accept it fully,” Culpepper said.
“No one is quitting, but we don’t know how to win,” defensive tackle Shaun Cody said.
The Titans lost to the Jets 34-13 as a 5.5-point home favorite last week, watching their vaunted rushing attack go by the wayside in the process. While veteran quarterback Kerry Collins completed 21 of 39 passes for 243 yards and one touchdown for Tennessee, running back Chris Johnson was held to 46 yards on 10 carries and LenDale White, -1 yard on one carry.
“It was a great run, and we’ve got to win our next game,” Titans coach Jeff Fisher said of playing Detroit on Thursday.
“We really didn’t have an answer for it today,” Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch said. “Favre had a really good game. Give him credit. We knew what to expect from him. He’s a great player, and he beat us today.”
