NFL Betting Picks – Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Someone’s three-game winning streak is going to come to an end NFL sports betting backers!
The Dallas Cowboys (8-4 SU, 6-6 ATS, 7-5 O/U) have won three straight games in the BetUS Sportsbook, covering the spread for NFL sports betting backers each time out. The Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3 SU, 6-6 ATS, 7-5 O/U) have also won three consecutive games while covering the spread in two straight.
On Sunday, both teams will be gunning for a victory when they meet at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field.
Quarterback Tony Romo completed 22 of 34 passes for 331 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Cowboys to a 34-9 rout over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13, covering the spread as a 12.5-point home favorite. Romo hooked up with tight end Jason Witten nine times for 115 yards and a touchdown while wide receiver Terrell Owens added five catches for 98 yards and one touchdown.
“We had a rough patch and we’re still not out of it,” Romo said. “We’ve still got to go forward and keep putting together wins to get in the playoffs. Our confidence level is that on any given Sunday we can compete with the best of anybody. It’ll be interesting to see how we do going forward.”
The Steelers jumped all over the New England Patriots despite being on the road, routing the defending AFC champs 33-10 as a 1-point underdog last week.
“We heard a lot of talk about it being a rivalry,” Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin said. “It hasn’t been much of a rivalry until you win some. That’s what we talked about coming up here.”
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 17 of 33 passes for 179 yards with two touchdowns and an interception while Hines Ward caught five passes for 37 yards with a touchdown.
“They had to start passing the ball and we didn’t have to sit back and try and guess what they were doing,” said James Harrison, who sacked Matt Cassel twice, forcing fumbles. “We just pinned our ears back and went at them.”

Analysis: While the Cowboys have ripped off three straight wins, last week’s shellacking that the Steelers laid on the Patriots was an eye-opener that leads me to believe they are going to cover the spread narrowly over the Cowboys at home in this matchup of two very evenly matched teams.
It’s going to be close, but I say take the Steelers to cover NFL sports bettors.
