Week 13 is almost in the books. It was characterized by some superb performances and some efforts that may have seen you eliminated from your Fantasy playoffs. Hopefully you had Adrian Peterson or Reggie Wayne on your roster and hopefully you weren’t counting on Dwayne Bowe to carry you through the week.

Here is Dave B’s Week 13 edition of the Studs and Duds list. Leave a comment and tell me who I left out!

Studs of the Week:

Adrian Peterson – Minnesota Vikings – The Vikes were forced to play without Brett Favre for almost the whole game and guess what? Minnesota looked very good, anchored by one of the best in the game, AP who rushed for 107 yards and three scores. It’s about time that Peterson was a Stud!

Reggie Wayne – Indianapolis Colts – One crucial drop in overtime may overshadow a Stud performance. But 14 catches, 200 yards and a touchdown is an insane stat line and worthy of Stud of the Week.

Other Studs:

QBs

Michael Vick – Philadelphia Eagles – Vick showed why he is going to be one of the highest paid players in the NFL on Thursday night. He threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns and added a rushing score on 48 yards as well – Stud!

Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints – Brees took a while to get going on Sunday but when he did, he delivered a Stud performance in a clutch win. Brees completed an amazing 24 of 29 for 313 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday.

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – Ho, Hum, and other three touchdowns on 298 yards passing for Rodgers – Stud!

RBs

Maurice Jones-Drew – Jacksonville Jaguars – MJD failed to find the end zone but he did rumble for an impressive 186 yards on 31 carries. The yardage totals and the number of touches that he received are Studworthy – so is the fact that his Jags are in first place, thanks to him!

Knowshon Moreno – Denver Broncos – Moreno was another player that failed to hit pay dirt but he did rush for 161 yards against a decent KC run defense.

Marshawn Lynch – Seattle Seahawks – He hasn’t been that impressive this season but on Sunday, he was largely responsible for the Hawks coming back to win at home. He ran for 83 yards and scored three touchdowns.

Honourable Mention: LeSean McCoy – Philadelphia Eagles, Arian Foster – Houston Texans, Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw – New York Giants, Chris Ivory – New Orleans Saints

WRs

Greg Jennings – Green Bay Packers – Jennings is money in the bank. On Sunday, he caught another six passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns. He is a Fantasy All-Star and a Week 13 Stud.

Sidney Rice – Minnesota Vikings – All it took was Brett Favre to sit to get this team playing like they should. Rice was a beast on Sunday, catching five passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns – Stud!

Ben Watson – Cleveland Browns – Watson was an absolute Stud against a Miami team that has been very good against Tight Ends this season. Watson had 10 catches, 100 yards and a touchdown in an impressive Cleveland victory.

Honourable Mention: Andre Johnson – Houston Texans, Vernon Davis – San Francisco 49ers

Dud of the Week:

Dwayne Bowe – Kansas City Chiefs – After going on one of the most memorable runs of any WR that I can remember, Bowe was absolutely schooled by Champ Bailey this week. He was shut out – that’s right, zero catches, zero yards, and zero impact. For those of you relying on Bowe in your fantasy playoffs, I am truly sorry!

Other Duds:

QBs

Kyle Orton – Denver Broncos – Wow, I didn’t see this one coming! After throwing for 400+ against the Chiefs less than a month ago, Orton managed only 117 yards and zero touchdowns on a brutal 9 of 28 passing!

Eli Manning – New York Giants – Manning turned into a game manager. The running game succeeded for the Giants but for Fantasy purposes, Manning delivered a Dud this week – only 161 yards passing, zero touchdowns and one interception. He didn’t have to do too much on Sunday but a little more would have been nice!

Chad Henne – Miami Dolphins – Henne had a dream matchup and after last week, it looked like this could be his week. Wrong! Henne passed for 174 yards, one touchdown and three huge interceptions – DUD!

RBs

Chris Johnson – Tennessee Titans – Hey Mr. Johnson, how ‘bout that 2500 yard season now? Johnson delivered his second consecutive Dud in the Titans fifth straight loss. He ran for 53 yards on Sunday and was a non-factor once again – Dud!

Peyton Hillis – Cleveland Browns – We have come to expect a lot from Hillis so when he rushes for 57 yards, and has 22 yards receiving with zero touchdowns, we have to call him a dud. Sorry Hillis owners but it is true!

Fred Jackson – Buffalo Bills – Most Jackson owners started him based on his last couple of weeks but in Week 13, he managed just 42 yards rushing.

WRs

Brandon Lloyd – Denver Broncos – Lloyd led the NFL in receiving yards and he torched the Chiefs in their last game. On Sunday, Lloyd was a Dud with only two catches for 31 yards.

Steve Johnson – Buffalo Bills – Johnson, like Lloyd has been one of the most dependable Fantasy WRs this season but had a bad game on Sunday. Two catches for 36 yards let his owners down – big time!

Randy Moss – Tennessee Titans – I love picking on this guy but he makes it so easy. 1 catch for 13 yards on Sunday has Moss as early candidate for Dud of the Year!
