Week 12 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Week 12 NFL waiver wire plus fantasy football lineup tips to help decide who to start or bench on your fantasy football team…

WAIVER WIRE WEEK 12

This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. Dave B scours the free agent pools in fantasy land for the best available talent every week. Availability, of course, depends on the league. We’re using 12 team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median, but we’ll look for roster candidates for leagues of all shapes and sizes.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our cheatsheets, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

Week 12 coming up – the week before most leagues enter the Fantasy playoffs. Time to bulk up your team a bit. I think that there is some good value this week – there are some legit starters in the bunch

QB’S

Kyle Boller – St. Louis – Marc Bulger is out AGAIN!!! He’s gonna miss 3-6 weeks. Seattle is up next for St. Louis so Boller should have decent sats.

Matthew Stafford – Detroit – Just sayin… He had a hell of a game this week and if he plays Thursday, he’s gonna have to do a lot of throwing. Maybe he’s finally figured out that throwing the ball is the way that the Lions are gonna win games.

Brady Quinn – Cleveland – Ditto for Quinn!!!

Matt Leinart – Arizona – If Warner is forced to miss any time (concussion), Leinart steps into an uber-talented Arizona Offense with an extremely soft remaining schedule.

Alex Smith – San Francisco – Plays against a Jacksonville team that has no pass rush and just gave up almost 300 yards to Ryan Fitzpatrick.

RB’S

Beanie Wells – Arizona – Probably not available anymore but if he is, grab him right now. He is a big part of the Arizona Offense finally, and with the ridiculously easy upcoming schedule, Wells could pay dividends going forward.

Rock Cartwright – Washington – Clinton Portis is out next week and Ladell Betts is out for the year. That leaves Rock Cartwright to shoulder the Running Back load. He amassed 140 total yards in Week 11 – how many other RBS did that?

Chris Jennings – Cleveland – He’s the definite #2 RB in the Cleveland Offense right now. With Jamal Lewis being Jamal Lewis, it’s only a matter of time before he takes over. Add in the fact that he seems to be a good pass catcher and he could be valuable down the stretch.

WR’S

Mario Manningham – NY Giants – In the last 2 games, he’s seen a huge uptick in targets and receptions. Manningham seems to be the flavor of Manning’s week and we all know what that can mean (Steve Smith). 126 yards in Week 11 is your proof.

Mohammed Massaquoi – Cleveland – He’s had some good games this year and if you need some depth, take a shot.Sports Betting at Sportsbook.com

Chris Chambers – Kansas City – He has really clicked with Matt Cassell in a hurry. In the 3 games that he has played, he hasn’t gotten less than 60 yards. Chambers is only gonna get better as he learns the KC Offense and Matt Cassell.

Robert Meachem – New Orleans – Touchdown machine and Drew Brees’s obvious Red Zone target. Meachem has scored 4 TD’s in his last 3 games.

Others to Monitor: Brandon Gibson – St. Louis : Chauncey Stuckey – NY Jets : Michael Jenkins – Atlanta

TE’S

Kevin Boss – NY Giants – The New York Giants have always had success at Tight End (Jeremy Shockey). For Eli Manning to be successful, he has to be on the same page as the TE. Boss has 4 tds. in his last 3 games – not too many others have done that!!

Tom Santi – Indianapolis – You think Dallas Clark owners are snapping right now???? Clark got 1 catch for 3 yards in Week 11, Santi caught 6 balls for 80 yards. I really don’t see it happening again, so think twice about Santi.

Jermichael Finley – Green Bay – Looked very good before he got injured. He is scheduled back this week against a Lions team that can’t even stop Cleveland’s Offense.

Others to Monitor – Gary Barnidge – Carolina : David Thomas – New Orleans

DEFENSE

San Diego – Kansas City and Cleveland are next up for the Chargers – nuff said.
