What a week! Another exciting week of NFL Football is in the books. If this was the final week of your Fantasy Regular Season, I hope that you ended with a bang! There were definitely some Studly performances this week that likely helped you to the win. Unfortunately, as always, there were some enormous Duds as well.

Without further delay, here is Dave B’s Week 12 Studs and Duds list!

Studs of the Week:

Tom Brady – New England Patriots – After the first half of his Thanksgiving game, Brady had barely over 100 yards passing. He finished with 341 yards and 4 touchdowns and a perfect QB rating (whatever the hell that means!). He showed on National TV that he is certainly worthy of Stud of the Week honours.

Peyton Hillis – Cleveland Browns – The Cleveland Browns escaped Sunday’s game with Carolina with a win, thanks to Mr. Hillis. He ran for 131 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also added six catches for 63 yards on the day. Incredible performance by the co-Stud of the Week!

Dwayne Bowe – Kansas City Chiefs – Insane day for Bowe! He caught 13 passes for 170 yards and three touchdowns. Bowe is becoming the Fantasy MVP among Wide Receivers and is certainly worthy of Stud of the Week.

Other Studs:

QBs

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – Rodgers continues his Hot play. On Sunday, in a loss, Rodgers did his best to give his team the win. He passed for 344 yards and a touchdown while running an incredible 12 times for 51 yards and a score. It’s too bad that the Packers have no running game!

Jay Cutler – Chicago Bears – Cutler came up huge in the biggest game of the year for his club so far. He tossed for only 247 yards but threw four interceptions and more importantly, zero interceptions. I hate to call Cutler a Stud but the numbers don’t lie.

Sam Bradford – St. Louis Rams – Stop the presses – the Rams are in first place! Bradford threw for 308 yards and 3 touchdowns against Denver with a rag-tag bunch of receivers. Bradford continues to be THE MAN for the Rams.

Honourable Mention: Matt Cassel – Kansas City Chiefs, Kyle Orton – Denver Broncos, Michael Vick – Philadelphia Eagles, Chad Henne – Miami Dolphins

RBs

Jamaal Charles – Kansas City Chiefs – He helped the Chief absolutely rip the Hawks on Sunday. He gained 173 yards on the ground and scored a touchdown on 22 touches.

Arian Foster – Houston Texans – Arian Foster didn’t find the end zone on Sunday but he rack up the yards. He ran for 143 yards on 30 carries while adding 75 yards on 9 catches. 218 combined yards makes Foster a Stud this week.

Michael Turner – Atlanta Falcons – Turner rumbled for 110 yards and a touchdown against a very tough Green Bay defense. He kept the chains moving on Sunday and definitely delivered a clutch Stud performance.

Rashard Mendenhall – Pittsburgh Steelers – Mendenhall was the workhorse for the Steelers in a lucky win against Buffalo. He ran for 151 yards and a touchdown on the day. Finally, a Stud performance from Mendenhall!

Honourable Mention: Maurice Jones-Drew – Jacksonville Jaguars, Mike Tolbert – San Diego Chargers

WRs

Deion Branch – New England Patriots – Mr. Branch demonstrated that it is what you do with the catches, not the number of catches you get that makes you a Stud! On Thanksgiving, Branch had only 3 catches, but gained 113 yards and he scored two touchdowns.

Wes Welker – New England Patriots – Welker has made us forget about a poor stretch earlier this season and on Thursday, he had 8 catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns – Stud!

Ben Obomanu – Seattle Seahawks – Mike Williams was out and Obomanu stepped up in a big way! He caught 5 passes for 159 yards and a touchdown on Sunday – Stud!

Honourable Mention: Brandon Lloyd – Denver Broncos

Duds of the Week:

Dez Bryant – Dallas Cowboys – I guess it is not all his fault but zero catches on the big stage is simply unacceptable. It doesn’t help that he was shown having a temper tantrum on the sidelines. Bryant’s play and his attitude make him Dud of the Week.

Chris Johnson –Tennessee Titans – Johnson was clearly a victim of their new starting quarterback – Rusty Smith. But 5 yards rushing and 2 yards receiving? C’mon!

Other Duds:

QBs

Carson Palmer – Cincinnati Bengals – Ugh! Palmer had one of the worst games I’ve seen in a long time. On Thanksgiving, he completed 17 of 38 passes for only 135 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. With the talent that the Bengals have, Palmers’ performance is unacceptable.

Mark Sanchez – NY Jets – Sanchez didn’t have to do too much but after averaging 300 yards passing in his previous three games, 166 yards passing, one touchdown and one interception is a Dud performance!

Brett Favre – Minnesota Vikings – It looks like Favre may be in this column all season long. New Coach Leslie Frazier appears as if he is going to limit Favre. Need proof? Despite an injury to Adrian Peterson, Favre only threw for 172 yards and no touchdowns.

Philip Rivers – San Diego Chargers – 185 yards passing and no touchdowns for the league leader in passing – Dud!

Honourable Mention: Peyton Manning – Indianapolis Colts

RBs

Darren McFadden – Oakland Raiders – McFadden was really close to Dud of the Week but 7 catches for 63 yards saved him from that dishonour. He rushed for 2 whole yards on Sunday – really, look it up!

LaDainian Tomlinson – NY Jets – LT’s production has plummeted as the season has worn on and on Thanksgiving, in a game that he should have erases a disappointing month of play, he rushed for only 49 yards on 13 carries.

Steven Jackson – St. Louis Rams – Jackson did rush for 72 yards but he had 29 carries. He should have been much, much better against a Denver defense that let Mike Tolbert run all over them last week. I expected more!

Honourable Mention: Indy RBs – 13 carries – 24 yards

WRs

Terrell Owens – Cincinnati Bengals – If TO’s mouth was catching the ball, he would have had a good game, but against Darrelle Revis and the Jets, Owens was held to 3 catches for 17 yards. Hey Terrell – shut up and just catch the damn ball! Dud!

Braylon Edwards – NY Jets – Edwards was a top 15 WR play this week but delivered a Dud performance. 2 catches for 20 yards has Edwards on the Dud list this week.

Sidney Rice – Minnesota Vikings – Rice got his first start of the season and played nearly every snap. The result – 1 catch for 20 whole yards. Brutal!

Honorable Mention: DeSean Jackson – Philadelphia Eagles, Mike Williams – Tamp Bay Buccaneers, Anquan Boldin – Baltimore Ravens, Mike Wallace – Pittsburgh Steelers, Reggie Wayne – Indianapolis Colts
