Week 11 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Week 11 NFL waiver wire plus fantasy football lineup tips to help decide who to start or bench on your fantasy football team…

WAIVER WIRE WEEK 11

This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. Dave B scours the free agent pools in fantasy land for the best available talent every week. Availability, of course, depends on the league. We’re using 12 team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median, but we’ll look for roster candidates for leagues of all shapes and sizes.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our cheatsheets, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

Week 11 is near! The bye weeks are over meaning that most Fantasy squads will have their full complement of players available to them. There is slim pickins on the Waiver Wire unless you were counting on Chad Pennington to win your Fantasy leagues. Some Week 10 heroes appear – Will they be able to repeat their Stud performances in the weeks ahead? Your guess is as good as mine!

Take a look at Dave B’s Week 11 Waiver Wire and Good Luck finding that diamond in the rough!

QBs

Shaun Hill – Detroit Lions – Hill looked OK in his first game back from injury, passing for 323 yards. He should keep up his strong play against Dallas, New England and Chicago in the next three weeks.

Tyler Thigpen – Miami Dolphins – He is the only game in town for the Fins. Unless you consider Patrick Ramsey a threat to the starting job, Thigpen should finish the season as Miami’s quarterback. He’s got weapons so if you are stuck, or you need depth, you could certainly do worse.

Jon Kitna – Dallas Cowboys – Somebody has probably already nabbed him but if not, he should be good for a minimum 250 yards and two touchdowns each and every week. With Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, Jason Whitten, and Felix Jones, Kitna has arguably the most threatening offense in the NFL behind him.

RBs

Tim Hightower – Arizona Cardinals – Let’s face it, Beanie Wells is brutal and he’s injured. If and when Wells comes back, I am not sure that he will get the starting job back. Hightower is the runner there now, and he is dangerous receiving the ball as well. He may not be a starter yet in Fantasy, but when Coach Wisenhunt wakes up; Hightower may see some more looks.

Justin Forsett – Seattle Seahawks – Forsett made a good Arizona offense look average on Sunday. Marshawn Lynch is a nice back but Forsett looks like the more dangerous threat. He deserves more looks down the stretch.

Mike Goodsen – Carolina Panthers – He looked good in Week 10 doing something that DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart have not been able to do this season – rush for 100 yards. If DeAngelo of Jonathan can`t play in Week 11, Goodsen is good to go!

WRs

Mike Thomas – Jacksonville Jaguars – Thomas has been good all season but has flown under the Fantasy Radar – Sunday`s Hail Mary will change all of that! Thomas is getting the looks and the receptions in an offense that shockingly looks legit. Sports Betting at Sportsbook.com

Brandon Gibson – St. Louis Rams – Gibson is a big part of a very good young offense in St. Louis. He has been targeted nine times in each of the last two games and appears to be a favourite of San Bradford.

Kevin Walter – Houston Texans – Walter fell off the Fantasy map largely because of the threat of Jacoby Jones. With Jones totally unproductive and Owen Daniels being injured again, Walter is once again the second option in a very good option. 9 catches and a touchdown on Sunday is further proof.

Others to Monitor –

TEs

Rob Gronkowski – New England Patriots – Three touchdowns on Sunday night should raise a few eyebrows. He is a huge target – 6`6“ and 265 pounds and could be a serviceable player going forward.

Jermaine Gresham – Cincinnati Bengals – He obviously has the trust of Carson Palmer! Gresham caught 9 balls for 84 yards and a touchdown on Sunday

Anthony Fasano – Miami Dolphins – With Tyler Thigpen in at quarterback for the Fins, the Tight End position will be leaned on heavily! Fasano was huge on Sunday (107 yards and a TD).

Others to monitor – Bo Scaife – Tennessee Titans, Greg Olsen – Chicago Bears, Zach Miller – Jacksonville Jaguars

Defense

St. Louis Rams – With no remaining teams left on byes, there is only one defense that I can recommend. The Rams lead the league in sacks and are giving up the sixth lowest amount of points in the NFL. They have also forced the third highest number of fumbles in the NFL.
