Week 10 is almost in the books –  it is nearly impossible to keep up with all of the incredible offensive performances! Week 10 was a scoring bonanza – sorry for the extended list – I couldn’t help it!

I hope you had some of the scoring goodness on your Fantasy squad this week – I sure didn’t!

Enjoy the Week 10 Studs and Duds list and feel free to leave a comment about the Stud or Dud that I accidentally left out!

Studs of the Week:

Tom Brady – New England Patriots – Brady saves his best for the Steelers. On Sunday night, he shredded Pittsburgh for 350 yards and three touchdowns. In a week of the Quarterback Stud, Brady proved the Studliest!

Roddy White – Atlanta Falcons – White was questionable coming into the game with a knee injury but proved what a Stud he is with a 12 catch, 138 yards, 2 touchdown performance on Thursday night. The winning touchdown with seconds remaining makes him Stud of the Week!

Dwayne Bowe – Kansas City Chiefs – Absolutely insane numbers for Bowe on Sunday! He has 13 catches for 186 yards and two touchdowns. I you own him – congratulations! Mr. Bowe, you are Stud of the Week.

Other Studs:

QBs

Matt Cassell – Kansas City Chiefs – Never saw this one coming! The Chiefs trailed big all game long and were forced to throw! The result – proof that Matt has an arm! 469 yards and 4 touchdowns – insane!

Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons – Nothing is as Hot as Matt Ryan at home! Now 18-1 at home as the Falcons starter, Ryan threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns on the first Thursday Night game of the year. Ryan was magical and certainly worthy of the Studs list.

Kyle Orton – Denver Broncos – Orton was a monster yet again this week and racked up 296 yards and 4 touchdowns! If Coach Josh McDaniel would stop taking him out when the Broncos have the ball on the 1 yard line, Orton would have had two more touchdowns to his credit. Orton was a Stud but would have been Stud of the Week if not for his coach!

Jon Kitna – Dallas Cowboys – Great game for the Boys thanks to Kitna and his ability to air it out! 327 yards and three touchdowns contributed to a win over the one team that the Cowboys hate the most.

Honourable Mention: David Gerrard – Jacksonville Jaguars, Matt Schaub – Houston Texans, Matt Hasselbeck – Seattle Seahawks, Derek Anderson – Arizona Cardinals, Eli Manning – NY Giants, Troy Smith – San Francisco 49ers, Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers

RBs

Fred Jackson – Buffalo Bills – Jackson had a career afternoon and appears his Studly play may keep him as the starter in Buffalo. He ran for 133 yards and a touchdown to help the Bills to their first win of the season.

Maurice Jones-Drew – Jacksonville Jaguars – MJD scored two touchdowns while running for 100 yards. This guy can finish like no other runner in the NFL and is therefore a Stud.

Knowshon Moreno – Denver Broncos – Moreno had himself quite the afternoon on a team that has absolutely no running game. Moreno rushed for over 100 yards and combined for 156 and a touchdown – Stud!

Honourable Mention: Chris Johnson – Tennessee Titans

WRs

Andre Johnson – Houston Texans – Bad ankle or not, AJ is a total Stud! He caught nine passes for 146 yards and a touchdown is a losing effort but looked amazing as usual.

Mike Thomas – Jacksonville Jaguars – Thomas finished with 8 catches, 149 yards and a touchdown including one of the most incredible Hail Mary plays I’ve ever seen! Anyone that comes down with a game winning touchdown on the last play of the game makes my Stud list every time.

Calvin Johnson – Detroit Lions – It doesn’t matter who is at quarterback when you are a Stud Wide Receiver! Calvin caught another 10 balls for 128 yards and a touchdown on Sunday with Shaun Hill in at quarterback.

Brandon Lloyd – Denver Broncos – Six more catches on Sunday for nearly an every-week Stud. He gained 90 yards and scored two touchdowns in a huge victory over the Chiefs.

Rob Gronkowski – New England Patriots – Amazing performance – Stud of the Week calibre! Rob had three touchdowns against the best defense in the NFL.

Honourable Mention: Mike Wallace – Pittsburgh Steelers

Duds of the Week:

Peyton Manning – Indianapolis Colts – Ugh! Manning had an off game to say the least but for once, his defense picked him up! Manning threw for only 185 yards and failed, for the second time this season, to throw for a touchdown. Sorry Peyton but you are Dud of the Week.

Thomas Jones – Kansas City Chiefs – Where have you gone Thomas? You have gone from starter status to nearly off the Fantasy Radar all-together. 4 yards on 3 carries is all he could muster on Sunday – seriously! He did catch 1 ball for 19 yards but he is still worthy of Dud of the Week honours!

Hines Ward – Pittsburgh Steelers – Injured on Sunday but a shut out? C’mon!

Other Duds:

QBs

Brett Favre – Minnesota Vikings – Welcome back to the Dud column Mr. Favre! After last week’s 446 yard effort, I thought that you were turning the corner – WRONG! 170 yards passing, one touchdown and three interceptions have Favre back where he belongs – on the Duds list.

Ryan Fitzpatrick – Buffalo Bills – With Brees and Rivers on byes, Fitzpatrick was a sexy start for many but he delivered a Dud performance. 146 yards passing may have you planted on the Fantasy bench from now on!

RBs

Michael Turner – Atlanta Falcons – Turner’s Hot streak is officially over! After rushing for two straight dominating 100+ yard games, Turner was only able to generate 39 yards on 17 carries against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night. We expect more Mr. Turner!

Adrian Peterson – Minnesota Vikings – It pains me to call AP a Dud but the numbers don’t lie. Peterson ran for only 51 yards on 17 carries. It wasn’t the worst effort of the week but we have come to expect a lot more!

Jahvid Best – Detroit Lions – Week 10 was supposed to be the week that we were supposed to see the real Jahvid Best show up. 39 combined yards on 21 total touches proves that Best may not be the player that we thought he was!

Honourable Mention: Cedric Benson – Cincinnati Bengals, Ronnie Brown – Miami Dolphins, Rashard Mendenhall – Pittsburgh Steelers

WRs

Reggie Wayne – Indianapolis Colts – With all the injuries in Indianapolis, Wayne figured to be an enormous part of the Colts offensive output. 3 catches, 34 yards is a Dud performance, o questions asked!

Randy Moss – Tennessee Titans – Nice debut Dud! 1 catch for 26 yards – couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy!

Brandon Marshall – Miami Dolphins – Marshall continues his Fantasy free fall! He had 3 catches for 34 yards and was the 4th leading receiver on his team. He’s becoming an every week Dud – shame!
