HOT + NOT For Week 10 Fantasy Football

Looking for Internet Fantasy Predictions then look no further than our Dave B our fantasy expert weighing in on weekly fantasy football topics for Week 10 action…

Hot and Not – Week 10

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players for the week should help you out if they’re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire.

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football always favors the prepared mind.

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, studs and duds, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

Week 10 is fast approaching –  remember Fantasy fans – there is a Thursday night game this week, so adjust your lineups!

This week I am tempted to put three whole teams on the NOT HOT list (Seattle, Dallas and Carolina) but that`s too easy. It`s a good thing that there are some players that are ripping it up – my cynical side is taking over!

Without further adieu, let`s get to Dave B`s Week 10 version of the Hot and Not list.

Enjoy and keep the comments coming!

Hot

QBs

Philip Rivers – San Diego Chargers – Rivers is on a well deserved bye this week but he has averaged well over 300 yards in his last three games and in his last two, he has tossed six touchdowns without any of his starting pass catchers! It goes to show – when you’re HOT, it doesn`t matter who you have to throw to!

Eli Manning – New York Giants – Manning is simply on fire! In his last four games, Eli has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 268 yards. It`s nice to see another Manning on the HOT list isn`t it?

Joe Flacco – Baltimore Ravens – Flacco is enjoying the best stretch of his young career. In his last three games, he has averaged 267 yards passing, has thrown seven touchdowns and zero interceptions. He has the poor passing defences of Atlanta, Carolina and Tampa Bay coming up in the next few weeks. It`s safe to say that he`ll remain HOT!

RBs

Arian Foster – Houston Texans – Foster has been over 100 yards in each of his last two games and has led his team in receptions in both as well. On the season, Foster has rushed for a league leading 864 yards and 10 touchdowns. He`s got Jacksonville this week – HOT!

Peyton Hillis – Cleveland Browns – Hillis plays the Jets this weekend so his status as a HOT player may take a 1 week break! He has scored three times in his last two games and has averaged 126.5 yards rushing in those two games. Hillis is also getting more than his share of catches making him one of the HOTTEST players in the NFL.

Michael Turner – Atlanta Falcons – Turner has scored four touchdowns in his last two games and has been over 100 yards in each. Jason Snelling injured himself last week making Turner even Hotter going forward.

WRs

Hakeem Nicks – New York Giants – Nicks is a Stud, plain and simple. In his last two games, Nicks has averaged 7.5 catches, 118 yards and has scored three touchdowns. With Dallas next up and with Eli Manning playing the way he is, there is no reason to think that Nicks won`t remain HOT (except for the ankle injury of course).

Terrell Owens – Cincinnati Bengals – Owens is on an absolute tear right now. He has scored four touchdowns in his last two games and hasn`t been held out of the end zone since Week 3. Owens is as HOT as they come!

Steve Johnson – Buffalo Bills – Johnson has come out of nowhere to land on the HOT list. His Week 8 effort was OK but in Weeks 7 and 9, he averaged 9.5 catches and 151.5 yards. He`s the unlikeliest HOT player in the NFL.

Jacob Tamme – Indianapolis Colts – Who needs Dallas Clark? Jacob Tamme has filled in admirable to say the least, making 17 catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns in the two games that he has played in relief of Clark!

Not Hot

QBs

Chad Henne – Miami Dolphins – Henne has been brutal in the last two games and now it appears that he may have lost his starting job to Chad Pennington. In the last two games, Henne has averaged 224 yards passing while tossing zero touchdowns and four interceptions – he`s definitely NOT HOT.

Jay Cutler – Chicago Bears – Cutler keeps getting sacked and he keeps making poor decisions. The defensive coordinators in Minnesota and Miami (next opponents) will be scheming to keep Cutler off balance. When he throws for decent yardage, Cutler turns the ball over. When he takes care of the ball, he doesn`t throw for any yardage. Cutler is poor and is certainly NOT HOT.

Matt Schaub – Houston Texans – Schaub has been a disappointment and his last two games prove that point. He has tossed just one touchdown while throwing two interceptions. If his numbers don`t improve this week against Jacksonville, there is no hope for NOT HOT Schaub.

RBs

Marshawn Lynch – Seattle Seahawks – In Week 8, Lynch rushed for 7 whole yards against the terrible Oakland run defense. In Week 9, he posted 48 yards on 11 carries. It`s not all his fault but some of the blame lies with Lynch for sure!

Matt Forte – Chicago Bears – Forte hasn`t been over 49 yards rushing in his last three games. Combine that with the fact that he is losing red zone touches to Chester Taylor and the fact that he`s not catching the ball as often has he’d like and there is only one conclusion – NOT HOT!

Jahvid Best – Detroit Lions – Best has run for 48 yards in each of his last two games and no touchdowns. At least it`s better than the 16 yards he rushed for in Week 6!

WRs

Hines Ward – Pittsburgh Steelers – Ben`s return has not been kind to Ward. In his last two games, he has a combined six catches for 25 yards! He did score in Week 9 but there is no denying that Hines is NOT HOT.

Wes Welker – New England Patriots – Welker hasn`t scored since WEEK FRIGGIN 2!! His best game in the last three was a Week 9 effort in which he made four catches for a whopping 36 yards!

Chad Ochocinco – Cincinnati Bengals – In the last seven games, Chad has scored just once! In his last two games, Ocho has a combined four catches for 49 yards. It is clear that Terrell Owens is the primary threat in Cincinnati and that Ochocinco has taken a seat at the back of the bus. Right beside the Restroom!

Steve Smith – Carolina Panthers – We may as well just keep Smith on the NOT HOT list for the rest of the season. Jimmy Claussen plain awful and he doesn`t ever look Smith`s way!

Brandon Marshall – Miami Dolphins – Marshall has only scored one touchdown this season – back in Week 3! In his last three games, he has caught 5 balls in each and hasn`t been over 64 yards receiving.
