Week 6 is almost here! It’s time to scour the matchups to determine who will help you and who will hurt you in your Fantasy leagues. Four more teams are on byes this week so be sure to make the necessary adjustments before game time.

Enjoy Dave B’s Week 6 Star and Sit and be sure to leave a comment to let me know what you think! Or ask him a lineup question if you like…*(He’ll try to help)*

Seattle at Chicago 1:00 PM

The Seattle coaching staff has said that Marshawn Lynch will be thrown to the wolves right away. He should actually be a decent start this week. John Carlson may be the only other reliable Seahawk starter here. If you are absolutely stuck, Seattle’s defense could be a plug in play. For Chicago all are good, not great starts. Cutler, Forte, Knox and Greg Olsen are high risk high reward Fantasy starters this week. Chicago’s defense is an every week play.

Miami at Green Bay 1:00 PM

The huge question that surrounds this game is – Will Aaron Rodgers play? By the sounds of it he will so role Rodgers, Driver and the underwhelming Greg Jennings this week. With Jermichael Finley out, the wide receivers should see more work. You will probably have to start the Green Bay defense as well. For Miami, about the only guys I like for sure are Ronnie Brown and Brandon Marshall. Chad Henne, Ricky Williams and Davone Bess are fringe starters this week.

San Diego at St. Louis 1:00 PM

Philip Rivers is the #1 Fantasy quarterback – no brainer as well as Malcolm Floyd and Antonio Gates. Ryan Matthews and the Chargers defense are also worth a look. For the Rams, Steven Jackson is automatic and Danny Amendola should be a good play in PPR leagues particularly. Sam Bradford will have to throw to keep up so if you don’t mind the occasional interception, he could be an OK play this week as well.

Baltimore at New England 1:00 PM

New England’s defense is bad so don’t hesitate to start Ray Rice and Anquan Boldin for sure. The Ravens defense may not be a top play this week but they won’t hurt you. Wait until Joe Flacco strings together a couple of good games before relying on him. For New England, Tom Brady, Wes Welker and now Aaron Hernandez are weekly plays. Brandon Tate could be a super-sleeper this week too.

Detroit at NY Giants 1:00 PM

Detroit is looking pretty solid offensively. Shaun Hill, Calvin Johnson, Jahvid Best and Brandon Pettigrew could all start for you this week – they may not be elite, but there is no shame in playing them based on their recent numbers. The Giants are a team on the rise. The combination of Manning-Nicks is electric right now and can’t be benched. Ahmad Bradshaw has emerged and deserves a weekly start. Brandon Jacobs is an OK flex and the Giants defense could be started as well.

Atlanta at Philadelphia 1:00 PM

Michael Turner, Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez are automatic plays and there is no shame in starting Matt Ryan. Kevin Kolb exceeded expectations last week and is best served as a #2 QB for tour fantasy team. LeSean McCoy is the only absolute must start this week – Maclin, Celek and DeSean Jackson are risky plays with Kolb at the controls – but start them if you have to.

Cleveland at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM

Colt McCoy will be Cleveland’s quarterback and Peyton Hillis is banged up. Stay away from the Cleveland Browns especially against the Steelers defense. Start every Steeler you have. Ben Roethlisberger will have his foot on the pedal all day making Hines Ward, Mike Wallace, Heath Miller and Rashard Mendenhall great plays. Of course start the Pittsburgh defense as well!

New Orleans at Tampa Bay 1:00 PM

Start the usual suspects for New Orleans. Drew Brees, Marques Colston, Jeremy Shockey and Pierre Thomas (if he plays) are all great stars. The opportunistic Saints defense is also a good play. If you feel like gambling, Lance Moore may be worth a shot as well. For Tampa, Josh Freeman is a fringe starter but Mike Williams and Kellen Winslow are both good plays.

Kansas City at Houston 1:00 PM

I have a feeling that Houston will bounce back this week meaning that Matt Schaub, Arian Foster and Andre Johnson should all be in your lineups. Kevin Walter may be worth a look in PPR leagues as well. For KC start Jamaal Charles and Tony Moeaki with confidence. Thomas Jones is a low-end flex this week. Stay away from Dwayne Bowe and Chris Chambers until the Chiefs passing game shows some signs of life.

NY Jets at Denver 4:05 PM

The only two sure fire starters for the Jets are LaDainian Tomlinson and the Jets defense in this one. Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards could be used as well although they threaten to cancel each other out. Mark Sanchez could be used as a bye week fill in and Dustin Keller will also produce solid but unspectacular numbers. For Denver, Kyle Orton and Brandon Lloyd are too hot to sit right now and Eddie Royal is definitely usable as well. Stay away from the terrible Broncos running game however.

Oakland at San Francisco 4:05 PM

An injury to Bruce Gradkowski makes anyone in the Oakland passing game, outside of Zach Miller a risk. That said, the running game should once again be solid. Start Michael Bush with confidence. For San Francisco, they did show signs of life last week. Alex Smith is an OK option this week in a pinch but Frank Gore has to be in lineups along with Vernon Davis. Michael Crabtree and the 49ers defense are both OK starters as well. Just don’t expect elite numbers from them.

Dallas at Minnesota 4:15 PM

In a game between two desperate teams and two good defenses, the offensive stars on each team are still definite plays. Tony Romo has put up huge numbers this season and can’t be benched. Miles Austin and Jason Whitten are also excellent plays. With the Vikes Cedric Griffin out, Roy Williams and Dez Bryant are worth a look as well. I’m still afraid of the Dallas running back situation and would wait another week until the situation sorts itself out. For Minnesota, Adrian Peterson is an obvious start as is Randy Moss who will be more of a factor this week. Percy Harvin is also a decent play this week as is Brett Favre who should be motivated for a huge week (barring any injuries or excuses). There is no shame in starting either defense here too – both teams have been turnover prone so far this season.

Indianapolis at Washington 8:20 PM

For Indianapolis, Peyton Manning is an obvious start as are Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark. Austin Collie is dinged, so think twice about using him and Pierre Garcon has been disappointing so far – wait until he has a good game before using him. The running back situation is cloudy at best. Joseph Addai was injured last week – Donald Brown figures to get the start but he’s been stuck in the mud all season long. For Washington, Donovan McNabb likely won’t win you the week but he won’t lose it either. I have a feeling that Santana Moss shows up this week as well as Chris Cooley. Ryan Torain doesn’t impress me – better to look elsewhere.

Tennessee at Jacksonville 8:30 PM

Both starting running backs will be featured in this game – start both of course. Outside of that, the rest of the participants are a gamble. Vince Young and David Gerrard have been underwhelming and the receivers have followed suit. Marcedes Lewis has been a touchdown machine and warrants a start against a poor Tennessee pass defense.

Byes: Buffalo, Cincinnati, Arizona, Carolina

Good Luck and may the Fantasy Gods be with you!
