To my American friends, Happy Thanksgiving!

New England at Detroit 12:30 PM

The New England Patriots should have their way in this game meaning that Tom Brady is an automatic start. BenJarvus Green-Ellis looks like the answer for the Pats running woes and is good for 100 combined yards and a score as well. Danny Woodhead is a desperation flex. Among the pass catchers, Deion Branch looks like the most likely to score. He and Wes Welker are only WR3’s to me though. The Tight Ends are a crap shoot – Gronkowski is my pick to score though. The Lions have no running game which means that Shaun Hill will throw a ton. Start him with confidence. Calvin Johnson is a WR1 and Nate Burleson is a WR3 in my book. Brandon Pettigrew, if he plays is a fine option as well.

New Orleans at Dallas 4:15 PM

Brees is obvious as is Marques Colston. The running situation is cloudy with Reggie Bush coming back –  best to avoid if possible. Lance Moore is the only other Saint that I would absolutely recommend. The others are a gamble. For Dallas, everyone in the passing game deserves consideration. Kitna, Austin, Bryant and Whitten are all fine plays. As always, the Dallas running game is a crap shoot. Felix Jones may explode, but then again, he may deliver another Dud.

Cincinnati at NY Jets 8:20 PM

Cincinnati has their work cut out for them. It’s hard to recommend a receiver at all! The Bengals should be down in this game and should employ the Palmer to Gresham game plan like in previous games. You may have to start TO but the only players I would absolutely recommend are Palmer (if you don’t mind the occasional interception) and Gresham. Benson is good for 70 yards. For the Jets, Sanchez is too Hot to bench right now and so is the Jets defense. He and Santonio Holmes should be money again. LaDainian Tomlinson and Braylon Edwards are fine starts as well. Shonne Greene is a decent flex this week.

Green Bay at Atlanta 1:00 PM

Shootout time! Aaron Rodgers is automatic as is Greg Jennings. I would still be wary of Donald Driver but James Jones is suddenly a quality WR3. Brandon Jackson is worth a look in a pinch and the Green Bay defense should be OK as well. For Atlanta, Matt Ryan is money at home and Roddy White is unbenchable. Michael Turner is an elite talent but temper your expectations against the stout Packers defense. Tony Gonzalez is still a top 10 TE play as well. Michael Jenkins may get some yards – he is a low end WR3/high end WR4.

Pittsburgh at Buffalo 1:00 PM

Start Ben Roethlisberger for sure as well as Rashard Mendenhall. Mike Wallace has graduated to must-start status and Pittsburgh’s defense is automatic. This may be the week that Hines Ward re-emerges as well, but it is a risk. For Buffalo, could it be that Ryan Fitzpatrick is an automatic start? It is, as is Steve Johnson. Lee Evans is a good WR3 this week but Fred Jackson will likely flop.

Carolina at Cleveland 1:00 PM

Jimmy Claussen is back from injury and will start for the Panthers – yay! Stay away from the Panthers passing game. Mike Goodsen could split carries with Jonathan Stewart this week so best to stay away from the Carolina running game as well. Colt McCoy will likely sit this week, meaning that Jake Delhomme likely gets the start for Cleveland – it will be hard to start anyone in the Cleveland passing game. Peyton Hillis is prime for a huge game – he is a top 10 play this week.

Jacksonville at NY Giants 1:00 PM

It is pretty hard to recommend anyone on the Jags against the Top 3 ranked Giants defense. Still Maurice Jones-Drew has rushed for 100+ yards in his last three games and is almost impossible to bench. I wouldn’t trust David Gerrard or anyone in the Jags passing game this week. Marcedes Lewis may be worth a look however. For the Giants, Hakeem Nicks and Steve Smith are both out leaving Mario Manningham as the go-to-guy – Start. I think that Eli will be OK this week and is among the top 12 QB plays. Ahmad Bradshaw will bounce back in a big way and even Brandon Jacobs could be considered as a flex. Jacobs could convert a short touchdown. Kevin Boss is a good sleeper TE for sure this week – Manning will surely rely on him a ton.

Minnesota at Washington 1:00 PM

The Skins are a brutal defense. If you are going to start Brett Favre this season – this is the week to do it. Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin are worth a look as well this week – we all saw how the Cowboys responded to their new coach. Expect the same. Adrian Peterson will likely get the ball 25-30 times this week and is a must-start as well. Visanthe Shiancoe is a top 10 TE play. The Vikings have a pretty bad defense too. Donovan McNabb is a fringe starter as is Santana Moss. Keiland Williams is worth a look based on the number of touches that he will get and Chris Cooley is automatic.

Tennessee at Houston 1:00 PM

Rusty Smith starts at quarterback for the Titans this week. The good thing is that they are playing the Texans defense. Still, downgrade the entire Titans passing game. Chris Johnson may have a difficult time finding room but he’s Chris Johnson and simply can’t be benched. For Houston, Schaub, Arian Foster and Andre Johnson are all green light options while Kevin Walter is a desperation start in PPR leagues.

Miami at Oakland 4:05 PM

I don’t like anyone on the Miami roster this week. If you are absolutely desperate, Brian Hartline looked like Tyler Thigpen’s favorite target. That’s it! For Oakland, the only player that I trust is Darren McFadden – period! Oakland’s defense may worth a look against a terrible Miami defense.

Kansas City at Seattle 4:05 PM

The Seahawks have a brutal defense. Jamaal Charles will be huge as will the hottest receiver in the league, Dwayne Bowe. Thomas Jones is a decent RB2 as well. I still don’t trust Matt Cassel. Matt Hasselbeck has been hot but I still don’t trust him this week. Roll with him if you are a gambling man. Mike Williams is a good option this week especially in PPR leagues and Ben Obomanu is suddenly a decent WR3.

Philadelphia at Chicago 4:15 PM

Vick, LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson are all excellent plays this week as always. I would also strongly consider the Eagles defense. Jay Cutler is going to have to throw and I might start him based on the garbage time yards that he’s sure to rack up. Johnny Knox is a fine option as is Greg Olsen.

St. Louis at Denver 4:15 PM

Sam Bradford is a decent option this week against a Denver defense that got torched last week. Steven Jackson may have his best game this season and Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson are both WR3s this week, particularly in PPR leagues. Kyle Orton is automatic as is Brandon Lloyd. I also like Knowson Moreno this week against a poor St. Louis road defense.

Tampa Bay at Baltimore 4:15 PM

The Tampa Bay offense has to face the Ravens defense this week. Josh Freeman should be just OK. Mike Williams is about the only Buc that I absolutely trust. LaGarrette Blount may score a short TD and is worth a look as a flex only. I like the Ravens to have an offensive explosion this week. That means that Joe Flacco, Ray Rice, Anquan Boldin and Todd Heap are better than fine starts this week. Start the Ravens defense as well.

San Diego at Indianapolis 8:20 PM

Never, ever bench Philip Rivers –  period! Vincent Jackson returns this week and should be a fine start as well. It is not known if Malcolm Floyd and Antonio Gates will play this week, so check back on Sunday before making a decision. At running back, Mike Tolbert is worth a strong look, especially against the poor Indy run defense. Peyton Manning is a typical start as is Reggie Wayne this week. Jacob Tamme has also proven match-up proof. Blair White and Pierre Garcon could cancel each other out and each is a gamble this week.

San Francisco at Arizona 8:30 PM

Strangely, this game could be Fantasy Gold.  Troy Smith is a desperation play but Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis are decent starts this week. Josh Morgan could be a decent deep sleeper as well. Derek Anderson could also have a good game but you wouldn’t start him anyway. Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Breaston are fine starts against an underachieving 49ers defense. The Cardinals running game is still a disaster and needs to be avoided at all cost.

Good Luck and may the Fantasy Gods be with you!

Need a win or two over the next few weeks to help ensure a playoff birth and I’ve had a heck of a time with QBs this year. I’m in a 12 team PPR and have Cutler, Fitzpatrick, and McNabb (ouch! I know…). Who will get me some much needed points this week? Happy Thankgsgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving Seth,

Believe it or no, I would roll with Ryan Fitzpatrick. He has by far the best weapons on his team and the Bills simply won’t be able to run against the Steelers. He may throw the ball 50 times, making him a decent start. Stick with the hot hand Seth and Good Luck!

Yoi-Lyn,

Gotta go Manning. Although his recievers are banged up and the running game may be huge in this game, he has the easiest matchup that you could ask for. Bradford has passed for multiple tds in his last 5 games but the Manning matchup is too juicy to ignore.
