Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Breakdown
The Super Bowl favorite is the Pittsburgh Steelers which have been made a -7 point favorite by the odds makers. Pittsburgh has been playing so good lately and coming off a very good win against Baltimore Ravens. This playoffs they are 2-0 against the spread! Offensively Pittsburgh has been very efficient in the playoffs. Both playoff games the Steelers offense has pounded the ball with their run game and had play action passes for big plays. Pittsburgh looks for a repeat performance of the 2006 Super Bowl where Willie Parker dominated the game with a couple big runs. Look for him to have another good game as Arizona has a poor run defense. Big Ben stands in the pocket and completes a ton of deep passes off play action fakes. Pittsburgh must keep the high powered offense of Arizona off the field by running the ball even more than usual.
Defensively the Steelers are the best defense in the league this year. Stopping the run has been there specialty all year and think they will completely take away Arizona’s run game. Arizona of course is not a huge run team so slowing down the pass game will be the difference in this game. Pittsburgh secondary has been very good all year which is really helped out with all the blitzes that the Steelers bring. Pittsburgh must get to Kurt Warner and if they can get to him early it will create turnovers for this defense. This game will be won in this match up pure and simple.
