Enjoy!

The big newsbreak of the day leaves us wondering if there’s such a thing as a clean cyclist.

Cycling news:Tour De France winner Contador tests positive for doping

Tour De France winner Contador tests positive

Here we go again. Three-time Tour de France winner and reigning champion Alberto Contador is the latest high-profile cyclist to test positive for doping. A World Anti-Doping Agency found a “very small concentration” of clenbuterol, a banned substance, in his urine sample on July 21 at the Tour de France.

Contador insists the positive test came from contaminated steak, as cows are sometimes given clenbuterol to increase their growth. He ate the meat on July 20 and 21.

Whether he was doping or not, I have to wonder if it matters any more. If every cyclist takes PEDs, there’s no real advantage anyway.

NFL news: Jaguars’ Kassim Osgood attacked in cheerleader’s home

Kassim Osgood is a three-time Pro Bowler as a special teamer. Now, he’s part of story that sounds like it’s straight out of a movie.

On Monday night, he was at the home of 19-year-old Jaguars cheerleader Mackenzie Rae Putnal when a man entered wearing a plastic bag on his head and brandishing a gun. He pulled Putnal by the hair, punched her and hit her with the gun. He also pistol whipped Osgood. Eventually, Putnal escaped, grabbed a gun of her own and exchanged gunfire with the man – who was identified as Julian Armond Bartletto, her ex-boyfriend. Both of them missed.

Meanwhile, Osgood leapt out a window and ran next door to call the police. Bartletto was found at his home, arrested for aggravated battery, false imprisonment, armed robbery, burglary and violation of an injunction.

NBA news: Dwight Howard releases album, LeBron James blames race for “Decision” backlash

Dwight Howard is now a recording artist. His album, “Shoot for the Stars,” is almost ready for its release. But this isn’t Shaq Diesel or Allen Iverson. Apparently Howard has put together a squeaky-clean album on which he croons about following your dreams. Seriously.

Young kids do backup vocals on every song and the proceeds go to the BETA Center, an Orlando-based organization that provides children and parents with knowledge and support to build strong, healthy families. You can pre-order all the fun for $13.98.

In a recent interview with CNN, LeBron James suggested that massive negative backlash against The Decision was racially motivated. He also pointed out that people forget about the $3 million the program raised for the Boys & Girls Club of America.

NHL news: Canadiens name Brian Gionta captain

After scoring 28 goals last year, Brian Gionta is now the 28th captain in Montreal Canadiens history. After Saku Koivu’s departure, the Habs went captainless last season. But the diminutive Gionta showed real leadership and cemented his status as a clutch player with nine goals in 19 playoff games.

Gionta is the second American to captain Montreal in the franchise’s 101-year history.
