The Kings haven’t been great on the road this season going 4-6-5 overall and 1-2-1 during their current road swing while the Blues have been terrific on home ice – 11-3-1 this year. St. Louis enters Tuesday night’s clash on a four game winning streak and look awfully tough to stop right now.

The Los Angeles Kings are 15-4-4 in their last 23 meetings with the Blues – total domination lately. But the Kings enter is so-so form for this one – 2-0-6 in their last eight regulation games. The offense has been OK however and Jonathan Quick has been remarkable.

Defensemen have led the way offensively – Drew Doughty and Jake Muzzin have four points in their last three games, Alec Martinez has two points in two games and forward Justin Williams has three points in his last three games. However Dustin Brown is pointless in his last five and Mario Gaborik continues to disappoint although he scored Sunday – his first point in five games.

Jonathan Quick has been terrific – he has posted a 1.79 GAA this month and he made 43 saves in a 1-0 shutout win in the only meeting of the season between the teams. Quick holds a 14-3-0 record and 1.23 GAA against St. Louis since the start of 2011-12 – impressive indeed.

The Kings have allowed an average of four goals per game in their last three games however – they need to tighten up with the scorching Blues on the horizon.

The Blues have been pouring it on – they have averaged 4.75 goals per game during a four game win streak. TJ Oshie and Kevin Shattenkirk each have four points in two games – Shattenkirk has two goals and six assists in his last five , Alex Steen has three points in two games, Vladimir Tarasenko has six points in five games and Paul Stastny has four goals in his last four games. Everyone seems to be contributing for St. Louis – all four lines are a handful heading into Tuesday night.

The defense and goaltending has also been very good for St. Louis.

Jake Allen has won consecutive starts after a 23 save performance against Colorado and Martin Brodeur has won his last two appearances with a 1.80 GAA over that span.

NHL Gambling Trends

• LA are 4-12 in their last 16 road games.
• Under is 5-2-2 in LA last 9 vs. Central.
• Over is 6-1-5 in STL last 12 overall.
• STL are 18-6 in their last 24 overall.
• STL are 49-19 in their last 68 home games.
• LA are 17-4 in the last 21 meetings.
• Home team is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings.

The Kings have certainly gotten the better of the Blues in recent years but this is a different Blues team. St. Louis is simply scorching in every aspect of the game. The Kings are looking average right now – the Blues are elite.
